It would be very easy to try and score political points here but, ffs a five year old  girl was just raped (the word the Australian media can’t spell) and it’s just going to be business  as usual in a couple of weeks?

Nein.

Alice Springs needs military intervention and I personally believe Melbourne as well.

No more rubber bullets. Shoot to kill and amazing how quickly civilisation is restored.

Most, most importantly, the bodies should be left for their families to collect.

That’s tradition law only now everyone has a camera on their phone and your family will be instantly famous and the 🦴 pointing at you globally .

We need a government  for Australian citizens who respect and support our  desire to be an advanced civilisation.

Which we haven’t had in decades.

Our media is so pathetic and desperate to be  “ in the loop “ with government minders  is the reason why we have reached this point.

Once the government controls the media.

Well, I suggest Nazi Germany is a great example of the results?

After weeks of poor press regarding Albo ( and Scomo) poor management of fuel reserves and desperate for a major distraction.
Federal Police arrest Ben ( war criminal) Smith.
What Amazing timing?

What the....

What did the service station have to do with the rape and murder of the 5 year old girl?

Those people are just plain criminals.

They should have shoot on sight martial law in Alice Springs.

I doubt the insurance company will pay out on a riot.
Some innocent person has lost everything.

This level of lawlessness is the behavior that lead to the girls death.

There are many questions to be asked about this shocking abduction and murder. Why was her family not there for her?  Where was her father?  Why bring a crim just released from jail into the house?  The poor child was sleeping on a mattress surrounded by empty Jim Beam bottles!

Typically, the mob has now gone on the rampage as they demand payback.  A police car was set on fire and a Shell service station was smashed up as the riot left five emergency service workers injured.

Our $40 billion per annum in action.   Angry

We will not see an end to this horror until we hear apologies from the families and community leaders to their own dead. We should also hear apologies from those who have run Aboriginal controlled services for forty years and from the well-paid and influential Aboriginal ‘leaders’ who have convinced governments that the best we can do for these children is to leave them in the hell holes they die in as long as they are ‘on country’, practice their ‘culture’ and speak their language. They should all feel deep shame.

https://quadrant.org.au/news-opinions/aborigines/three-names-that-should-haunt-u...

The least quoted, most ignored but most pertinent comment made in the report of the Aboriginal Deaths in Custody Royal Commission:

“There is no other way. Only Aboriginal people can, in the final analysis, assure their own future.”

Why don’t they???

From the article ....

"One of these girls had been sent interstate to a boarding school because the man who’d raped her had threatened suicide and if he’d done that she would have been punished for his death as ‘payback.’"

What sort of culture is this?  It's violent, it's prehistoric, it's disgraceful that they believe in this misogynistic rubbish in this day and age.  Obviously aboriginals are not capable of making any beneficial changes to their lifestyles.

I was going to describe Sharon - I don't give a fig what these people want to call her now she's dead - an innocent child.  I didn't, because she wasn't innocent. She would have seen and experienced things that no child should ever experience.

It's really appalling ... you'd be forgiven for thinking all these abos do is booze, bonk and brawl.  I can't think of describing their lifestyles any other way - no matter how many billions are thrown at this problem year in year out with no improvement ever!

I agree with you, except that I think Sharon was an innocent child, at her age she couldn’t have understood the things that she saw, not in their real context.

Yes, she is innocent in that she is absolutely blameless.  But she has also been exposed to the worst of humanity.  She has seen things no other child should witness.  Alcoholism, drug abuse, violence, suicide and self-harm, misogyny towards females - the list goes on. She lived in a doss house.  Sleeping on a mattress on the floor surrounded by empty bourbon bottles!!  What sort of an environment is this for a child?  But to her, this would have been her own "normality."  And that is absolutely appalling.

The aboriginal industry has a vested interest in keeping these people in deplorable conditions.  And the aboriginals themselves comply willingly.  Have they ever NOT trashed aboriginal housing?  Have they ever cleaned their homes like normal people?  Instead of turning them into pigsties?  If they can't do the bare minimum to prevent their homes from falling apart, maybe they should return to indigenous housing like their ancestors lived in - humpies.

Have they ever fed their children proper home cooked meals?  Ensured that they got an education by attending school?

I want to see accountability.  I want the aboriginal industry which receives billions of taxpayer dollars per annum to improve these peoples' lives to be audited and held to account.  I want to see proper records.  They have been entrusted with billions of taxpayer dollars but the money is not going where it's needed - to improve children's lives!  And if they can't or won't do it, I want the state to step in and take over.

A woman has been charged with allegedly setting fire to a police car

during the riots in Alice Springs on Thursday night.
Police have since charged a Northern Territory woman after she allegedly used a lighter to set fire to dried grass underneath a police car about 10.40pm Saturday.

The woman was arrested at the scene and officers tried to extinguish the flames before it caused any more damage.

“Despite this, the vehicle sustained about
$20,000 damage
as the unrest continued,” a police statement read.

She has since been charged with one count of attempted arson and one count of taking part in a riot.

She remains in custody and is due to face court next week.

Police expect more arrests and charged to be laid as the investigations into the riot continues.

$20,000 damage? And the rest.

It was gutted by fire - it would be a total write off.

Those Toyota hilux Police paddy wagons cost up to $130,000.
