Pentagon Threatened the Pope

Pentagon Threatened the Pope After He Criticized Trump

It was so bad that Pope Leo changed his plans to travel to the U.S.

"But the blatant intimidation tactic is the first of its kind ever made by American officials to the Catholic Church. There are no public records of any previous meetings between Vatican and U.S. officials at the Pentagon, let alone an instance in which the world power suggested that it could force the Bishop of Rome into captivity."

The was plenty of that, e.g. " Avignon Papacy" (1309–1377), The Western Schism (1378–1417) and the 19th-century imprisonment of Pius VII by Napoleon (1809–1814).

So the truth is that there were plenty of instances in which the world powers not only suggested that it could force the Bishop of Rome into captivity but actually did that  Grin

The pope smokes dope, Proud Gay. We all remember the last Catholic prez, I'm shure. We needed DL to chuck him and his little brown girl out, do you recall?

Sleepy Joe and Karmala were so soft on Israel, as you remember and I'm sure you do, no?

The Avignon papacy was caused by king Philip IV of France.  During the Western Schism, the Avignon Papacy was closely tied to the French monarchy. Dictator Napoleon also had a go.

King Donald the Maga of ICE and Hell joins the ranks of royal pope-bashers.  Stalin asked 'how many army divisions does the pope have?' and Don 1 gets the Vatican Peace Prize and half its gold.
