Just when the Albo government desperately needed a miracle distraction from their energy crisis.

THEY CREATED  ONE!

Albo and Bowen and Penny, sitting back at the lodge tonight laughing.

“ got em all, hook line and sinker “!

After weeks of poor press regarding Albo ( and Scomo) poor management of fuel reserves and desperate for a major distraction.
Federal Police arrest Ben ( war criminal) Smith.
What Amazing timing?

Is Australia's justice system stupid to charge him?
'The Australian Defence Force (ADF) handles the treatment of Prisoners of War (POWs)—referred to in modern doctrine as Prisoners of War, Internees, and Detainees (PWID)—in strict accordance with international law, primarily the Geneva Convention Relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War of 1949 (GCIII).'

The ICE murders were of people in the same situation. Apart from abuse (which shows your lack of ideas), can you explain your opinion?

So I see this morning, that Roberts-Smith, made repeated offers to hand himself in, if the AFP wanted to arrest him. But that wasn't good enough. The AFP wanted the media exposure attached to arresting him in front of his family.

The AFP was following orders.

Albo orders.

Albo and co following weeks of negative publicity needed to break the news cycle.

His arrest was timed perfectly for Albo to hit the news cycle today with the fantastic deal he’s done with Singapore to bring more oil to Australia shores.

The news cycle now back in Albo favour  will move on for months let alone years before Ben Robert’s Smith is wheeled out into the public.

If you choose to be extremely cynical this also publicly demonstrates labor new found backing of anything and everyone from the Middle East.

With all the crap e.g., as above ^^^^^^ this will end up a Judge only Trial.

Obviously those organising social media, including Reinhart, Hanson, Katter, et al,  are playing this up on "Digger" emotion.

They will be the reason a Judge will decide...no Jury.....Judge only.

Dicks head are trying to influence the potential juries.

Outcome.....Judge only.

Did you see the medal Kristy the leader of the AFP got for covid response?

Ch 9 who had the defamation case with BRS were there to video it i wonder who tipped them off.

Does anyone have pics of Taliban uniform how do you tell the difference between an Afghan and Taliban?

I wonder if the AFP were too busy trying to pin something on BRS which let Bondi terrorists slip through the cracks

In the 1960-70s there was police involvement or inaction about gays kicked over The Gap cliff in Sydney.  Poofs and Afghans are worth about the same.

Australia’s most decorated soldier arrested over alleged war crimes

Story by Reuters

Reuters —  Australia’s most decorated living soldier has been arrested over five counts of the war crime of murder while on deployment in Afghanistan, local media reported on Tuesday.
The man, whom police identified as a 47-year-old former Australian Defence Force member and media named as Ben Roberts-Smith, was arrested at Sydney Airport on Tuesday morning.

He will be charged with five counts of war crimes in connection to the murder of five people in Afghanistan between 2009 and 2012, Australian Federal Police (AFP) said. The maximum penalty for each charge is life imprisonment.

Roberts-Smith was hailed as a national hero after being awarded several top military honors, including the Victoria Cross, for his actions during six tours of Afghanistan from 2006 to 2012.

He has consistently denied allegations of wrongdoing during his service, some of which were first reported by Nine Entertainment newspapers in a series of articles starting in 2018.

Among the accusations reported were that Roberts-Smith had shot dead an unarmed Afghan teenager and kicked a handcuffed man off a cliff before ordering him to be shot dead.

I just watched his arrest on TV, and he wasn't handcuffed.

He's being charged with five counts of murder, and he gets to walk to the police car unrestrained?

Seems odd.

He shouldn't have been arrested at all.

A media stunt by the AFP - now lead by a DEI HIRE.

Ben Roberts-Smith had offered to surrender himself to authorities privately before his arrest at Sydney Airport in front of his teenage daughters.

A 10 year $300,000 million dollar witch hunt of Australias most decorated soldier.

The Yanks just spent a similar amount getting their shot down air servicemen out of Iran.

The treatment of BRS is nothing short of a national disgrace. Shameful. All on the hearsay of known Taliban sympathisers & no definite proof that would support 5 murders beyond reasonable doubt.

Other than a rigged stitch up they will have their work cut out for them trying to prove his guilt. No weapon, no shell cases, no blood samples, no body & no access to Afghanistan.

So what? He'd already offered to hand himself in before the AFP went ahead with this media stunt.

He wasn't a flight risk, he wasn't violent or dangerous - he's done nothing more than serve his country at the highest level & this is how he is repaid.

Whilst gutless bureaucrats & Politicians pontificate over their own ineptitude.

He's been charged with murdering five people who were unarmed and bound.

That sounds like the definition of cowardice to me.

That, and bone spurs.

By the way, since when do police decide who gets handcuffed and who doesn't on the basis of cowardice?

Where did you pull that one from, Fwanky?   Undecided

You're not even remotely qualified to make any judgement on BRS or what happened in Afghanistan.

It's all hearsay - and if there hasn't been enough evidence/proof after 10 years then how on earth is it now any more provable beyond reasonable doubt?

I stand with BRS - not with gutless leftwing cowards like you.

He's the reason you get to put forth your shyte opinions.

Did he murder unarmed prisoners of war?  -

if so it was in our name and he deserves to hang.

Scroll back and read my earlier posts.

I said that in my eyes he's innocent until proven guilty.

I said: "He's been charged with murdering five people who were unarmed and bound" - I didn't say he is guilty of the offences.

I have no dog in this fight.

I'm just stating the facts.

We'll wait and see what the court decides.

You talk about murders - what about these 3 Aussie diggers who were murdered in cold blood at their base by a sleeper Taliban insurgent in the Afghan Army - supposedly serving with them?

Their killer was tracked down after having been helped to escape by the TALIBAN - and he fled to Pakistan.

He was tracked down by our SAS soldiers - BRS being one of them.

Yet he now lives free as a TALIBAN HERO who vows to keep killing foreigners & Australians.
