Then there are: rats, mice, possums and insects too.

They are all natures creatures. You just have to try to keep them from plague proportions. Unfortunately farming generally is counterproductive to that. Roll Eyes

Well yes - farming creates millions of tons of food -
no wonder it causes plagues of pests.

In the city of Melbourne - I don't know anyone with a fruit tree
that hasn't been ravaged by possums and giant fruit bats.

It's why I like snakes in my shed.

Keeps the wiring in the tractor free from mice gnawing

I was going to mention snakes. Even if they eat 2 mice per day, the snakes are going to have a lot of leftovers. Snake populations would just explode.

The Agricultural Revolution (Neolithic and later modern) caused massive, rapid population growth by creating a stable food surplus, which supported higher birth rates and settled life, growing from 5 million people 10,000 years ago to over 8 billion today.

“ As of April 15, 2026, the remnants of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Maila are bringing heavy rainfall, flash flooding, and strong winds to North Queensland, particularly affecting coastal areas between Cooktown and Mackay”

“ AI

The damage has been extensive and expensive. The massive cleanup and repairs are beginning as swelling rivers and creeks flood waters descends.

Albo checked it all out from his personal jet while flying to Singapore  at maximum altitude and speed 8to discuss the situation regarding failing jet fuel shortages.

Apparently he and others are going flying over the area soon ( in individual jets of course) and show support to the embattled locals of far North Queensland by rising the wine of their choice to them from inside their private jets on way to five class accommodation in Singapore to further discuss the desperate struggle of Australia to have enough jet fuel.

Eh?

Has anyone else ever heard of zoom, teams or even  emails?

Australia leaders truly show what they are made of in a time of crisis.

Sadly it appears to be narcissistic behaviour?

After weeks of poor press regarding Albo ( and Scomo) poor management of fuel reserves and desperate for a major distraction.
Federal Police arrest Ben ( war criminal) Smith.
What Amazing timing?
