And aren't we all, in our own small way, utterly despicable?

If the old boy's offended, do we not recoil? If he feels pained, do we not reach out with a helping hand? Whisper in his shell-like ear? Reassure him with a gentle lullaby?

We owe him this much, shurely. We grew here. The poor dear flew here. I'd be a tad butthurt too.

Yep, and it's exactly why people warned that he wouldn't deliver on his promises at the election, and sure enough, he hasn't, hence the lowest approval rating he's ever "enjoyed" because even MAGA is turning on him now that his tariffs, his tax increases and now the war are sending their cost of living through the roof.  With MAGA children being sent to fight in Iran for Israel, who won't even send their own troops, all of this compounds to even MAGA turning on Trump.

But the left were being hysterical or deranged when warning of what Trump would do, even though his campaign turned those warnings around into attacks on what Harris would do.

Yet here we are. 

Trump broke all the promises, he's done everything he said Harris would do, and the US is now running low on allies and creating global instability that is making regular non-political world citizens hate the US, their leadership and their people.

And I get it.  I will not forgive the US.  The country as a whole chose Trump, and I blame them all.  Now more than ever, they need to start identifying as Canadian when travelling overseas.

I'm loving the stories of American tourists feeling unwelcome in bars and restaurants abroad when people realise where they're from.   They deserve it.
