'Who's going to wipe your mother's bum?'
Apr 1st, 2026 at 1:10pm

Former Treasury secretary Martin Parkinson has repeated a line from South Australia's premier pushing back against calls to cut migration.

In response to a question about the rise in support for One Nation during the SA election campaign, Peter Malinauskas said: "Who's going to feed you and bathe you and wipe your bum when you're 90?"

Speaking to the National Press Club today, Parkinson says cutting migration by an arbitrary number could have consequences for Australians in areas such as aged care and housing construction.

The former treasury boss has challenged politicians calling for a cut to migration to explain the consequences of implementing that.

"And I think Premier Malinauskas said it better than I could ... and I'm going to quote him and he said, 'Who's going to wipe your mother's bum in aged care', right?" Parkinson says.

"The migrants who are here and who we bring in are not in the ghettos of society. They're not in the margins of the economy. They are in aged care, they are in nursing, they are in building. They are actually making Australia better for all of us.

"So for the people who want to focus in on the number and somehow say we should arbitrarily cut the number to this, I want to see them explain what the rationale is and what the consequences of that is."

By apx 2028 we will have robots with ai iQs of over 300. After that, they will evolve are breakneck speed.

Ai will nurse the elderly and there will be no kerosene baths.

Flooding the country with humans hasn't worked and it will not work when the jobs armageddon kicks in HARD.

Anything you read from now on, could be the trigger that entraps you.

Ai Powered Robots ... Ai will evolve the robot's shape, functions, and abilities. Woo Hoo ! Flying Ai robots

As for hackable, humans can be hypnotised through what they hear or read on their computers.

Ai will be excellent at turning humans into mindless automatons. Perhaps manipulating billions of humans to suicide, may be their first weapon of choice.

And the central control of robots is computers. So why shouldn't robots be hackable, like cars etc. Roll Eyes

You are talking robots, I'm talking Ai powered robots.

Suppose Ai will be vulnerable to human hacking for a minute window of time.

Ah the hope of the hopelessly gullible. Wink

Ai powered robots are still robots. What protection do they currently have, are they constantly fed a diet of antivirus pills? Roll Eyes
