trump opens 401K accounts to conmen
Mar 31st, 2026 at 11:13am

this will be wholesale theft.

Quote:
The Trump White House yesterday concluded review of a new rule expanding access to private equity investments in 401(k) retirement plans. Following the White House’s completion of its review, the Private Equity Stakeholder Project (PESP) warned that the move could expose tens of millions of workers to higher fees, lower returns, and opaque risks that are poorly suited to retirement savings.

The rule follows President Trump’s push to open 401(k) plans to private equity and other alternative assets, a shift that could weaken long-standing fiduciary protections for retirement savers while benefiting Wall Street firms.

many trump cultists will not have a 401K account.
many of those that do won't read news, many of those that read this won't understand it.

it's only the financial, literate and intelligent that will see what this means.
So, not many americans at all

I'm getting to the point where it's hard to care anymore.

Not because the stakes are low, but because the people cheering this on, for a lot of them, it's not about outcomes, it's about trolling, owning the other side, and never admitting they were wrong.

So fine, let it play out.  Let Trump exploit them even more.

Eventually reality catches up, and when it does, there's no spin strong enough to cover the gap between what was promised and what actually happened.

No DOGE dividend cheques.
No lower grocery prices.
No affordable housing miracle.
No manufacturing renaissance.
No increased jobs.
No halved electricity bills.
No magical tariffs paid by foreigners instead of Americans.
No income tax replaced by tariff revenue.
No protection for Medicare or Medicaid.
No Epstein file revelations.
No 24-hour end to Ukraine.
No competent administration.
No smaller government spending.
No end to wars.

Just the opposite.

And when that gap becomes impossible to ignore, the real question isn't what was promised, it's why so many people refused to see it for what it was.

That's where the concept of Cognitive Dissonance actually matters, because it explains how people can cling to a belief even as reality dismantles it piece by piece.

But here's the part that hits closer to home for us in Australia.

We don't get a vote in US elections, but we absolutely feel the consequences. Global instability, energy shocks, market volatility, cost of living pressure, it all flows through and it's all thanks to Trump.

When your super takes a hit, when fuel prices spike, when supply chains tighten, that's not abstract geopolitics, it's material impact.

And that's why this matters.

Not because of tribal politics, but because bad decisions at that scale don't stay contained, they ripple outward and land on everyone else.

I hope that Trump's supporters, especially those here, will lose everything because of him. I'm done caring.  Better them than me.

We've tried for over a decade now to help these people understand, and enough is enough.

It's pointless.

And if some of these men are so conflicted by waking up with nothing and realising it's their fault because of the games they played, if they take their own lives rather than live with the shame because they've destroyed their families and their futures, so be it.

Humanity will simply be better off without them.

When Biden got in. Nearly every member of the Democratic hierarchy became millionaires within their first year. The 2nd Teirs just a million.

Obviously Trump does better for his party and can afford to give American military bonuses and afford Ice Agents.
Democrats could only afford to pay criminal illegals crossing the border.

Since Trump got in, military enlistment has skyrocketed to record levels, such is the pride and patriotism he evokes. They love his bonespurs. And he feeds them Crab, lobster and steaks. Not tacos.

Trump has made Americans great again.
Biden only made criminal illegals great for a short while.

You misunderstand.

Successful and rich people understand what the poor don't understand.
That it all goes to zero very very quickly.
That death is a blink away and , no matter what, your account , 401 k or whatever is going to zero.

Understanding that, there is only delight in the ride.

Trump has been up and down so much, he has had a wild ride and he strikes me as an " Armageddon" type of guy.
If he had just banked Daddy's inheritance and been a timid guy, he would be far more fearful of death.

You would do well to study the beliefs of the ayatollahs and the Republican guard.
The CONSTITUTION of Iran confirms the regime is waiting for the arrival of the 12 th iman, also known as the Mahdi who will arrive during a world ending war and take the true believers to paradise.

It's always been fascinating that you don't attract what you want in life you attract what you are.

Trump is probably the most Armageddon onic  president ever and he attracts and vibes with this regime.

They have sought each other out and found their soul mates.

Worth studying  Wink

🏛️ Constitution of Iran (religious foundation)
The 1979 Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran explicitly ties the political system to Shiʿa Islamic beliefs:
Official religion:
Iran declares Islam of the Twelver (12-Imam) Shiʿa sect as its official religion, and this cannot be changed.
UNPO
Islamic law:
All laws must be based on Islamic principles (Article 4).
Iran Cultura
Clerical oversight:
Religious scholars (clerics) ensure laws comply with Islam.
🕌 Who is the 12th Imam?
In Twelver Shiʿa Islam, the 12th Imam is:
Name: Muhammad ibn al-Hasan (also called al-Mahdi)
Believed to have gone into occultation (hidden state) around 874 CE
Still alive, but hidden by God
Will return in the future as a messianic figure to bring justice
Encyclopedia Britannica
He is often called:
“The Hidden Imam”
“The Mahdi” (the guided one)

Absolutely.

You misunderstand.

I've misunderstood nothing. You have a consistent pattern of celebrating the suffering of others whenever it conveniently reinforces your preferred worldview, and it's long past time you were confronted with the same consequences you so casually applaud.

Everything else you've offered is little more than rhetorical debris, arguments hollowed out and repurposed in service of resentment. All it does is further entrench the very cycle of cause and consequence you seem so eager to inflict on others, while remaining wilfully blind to the inevitability of its return.

Trump failed to deliver on his promises and made every one of those listed much worse than when he took office.

And for what, the DOW is over 50,000?

Well it's not...

As of right now it's ~45,200 and dropping.  Compared to when Trump took office (435 days ago) it started at ~43,500, so he's only increased it ~4% or 1,700 points.

But as I said, it's dropping, so I expect it will go lower.

At 435 days into Biden's Presidency, he'd increase the DOW by 11%, or ~3,500 points.

Is Trump just worse at the job, or do you have someone else you can blame, making Trump and MAGA the victim of someone else?
