Why isn't Markwayne Mullin in prison?

What is it with the GOP and their love of abusing children?

He later recalled when one daughter was begging him not to punish her this way: “No, Daddy. No, Daddy. No, Daddy! No! I’m sorry, Daddy. I’m sorry, Dad” when “she just couldn’t bring herself to even bend over for [Mullin] to bust her butt.”

He wanted to "bend his daughter over and bust her butt".

Markwayne Mullin boasted about spanking his kids as his daughter cried, 'No, Daddy'

So, two questions:

1. why isn't he in prison?

2. who will be the first here to defend him? (we all know the answer to that one).
