Multiple human rights organisations, UN experts, and released detainees have provided extensive evidence that Israel systematically tortures Palestinian prisoners. Reports from B’Tselem, the UN, Amnesty International, and the Public Committee Against Torture in Israel (PCATI) describe widespread, state-sanctioned abuse amounting to torture, particularly since October 7, 2023.
Torture methods documented include severe beatings, sexual assault and rape, electrocution (including on genitals), waterboarding, attacks by dogs, prolonged shackling, sleep and sensory deprivation, forced nudity, humiliation, and psychological torture such as mock burials and death threats. Facilities like Sde Teiman have been described as “torture camps,” with detainees held in cage-like cells, often without charge or access to legal representation.
Over 10,000 Palestinians, including children and women, are currently held, with around one-third detained without trial. At least 84 Palestinian detainees died in Israeli custody between October 2023 and January 2026, with Israel withholding most bodies. UN experts and B’Tselem state that torture has become state doctrine, endorsed by high-level officials like National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
Survivors report lasting physical and psychological trauma, including amputations due to untreated injuries and forced wearing of degrading clothing upon release.
The UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese concluded in March 2026 that torture is now a “defining instrument” of Israel’s actions in the occupied territories.
Next question should be ... is how many zionists solders from Australia, have followed orders ,and tortured prisoners ?
