A New EV…

The total destruction of Australia 🇦🇺 is going to plan by the Liberals/Labor/Greens/Teals

It’s every man for themselves at this point - Prepare yourselves…

This will give us an Unleaded, Diesel and now Electric fuelled cars…

I've always told you all on here since 2010, that our Federal level politics will shatter and crumble into ruining this country.
We've always been one nation and Hanson is just selling snow to a snowman at the start and now proving what Australia is failing to be at Federal now. Her Party is nothing but an omen of death and nothing more. Just part of the problem.

But hope is not lost.

Australia will rise again from the ashes as a Collective of many Independent Nations of their own accords.

I wanted a smaller EV with a longer range and comfortable to dive at 80 - 100 kph as i do 500+ km per week

Me and AI came up with the BYD DOLPHIN Premium 🐬

400 km in the Tank - all reports comfortable and quiet to drive on highways with powerful motors - 0 to 100 in 7 seconds..

Im not fussed by the power as such but its good to have to overtake when needed..

41K

I’ve worked out that I’ll have the 41K back in my pocket in 6 years max - if the price of fuel keeps going up - even less - if fuel runs out i can still get to work.

Best part?

8 year 160,000 km warranty on the battery … 🔋

And yes - I’ve looked at the increasing rates of electricity and also tax per kilometre.

If they put on a 2.5 cent a kilometre tax it’ll be $650 to those thieving morons in Canberra as i do a minimum of 25,000 a year…

I sat in one . Very impressed. Interesting how the display can spin. BYD are the best of the EV makers.
Will probably get a shark eventually but want a bit more dealer support

those batteries have an expected life of 50 years

the chinese EVs are way ahead of anything else
Geeley make over 4,000,000 per years.
I'm pretty sure BYD would make more

Good going

We have a pretty big dealership here with Multiple Brands and one of the oldest car yards in the area..

Paying for the car today and hopefully it turns up on a truck today - not sure how long it takes them to get it registered and ready to go…

I'd like a plug-in and leading the pack is the Denza (BYDs Lexus) B5 or B8.
I want to wait until that model has been on Aussie roads for a year or 2.

I've owned a couple of expensive cars but I still have a 2015 RAV in perfect condition, has never needed a repair that isn't a consumable and drives as smooth as the day I bought it with 160000km on the clock. At the moment, I prefer having a car I don't give a crap about. I went for a SUP this morning and it dripped salt water all over it when I loaded it, and the paddle managed to leave a puddle of salt water inside the car too. buggerSGIVEN=ZERO

What I particularly enjoy is the looks I get from my neighbors. Most have a first car worth about 300k, the second car is a modest 150k and the kids cars probably run 60 to 100k.

We have a diesel Audi and a smaller petrol VW car.
The diesel one goes about 1,000 kms on a 50 litre tank ($170 for diesel at $3.40).
The petrol one goes about 600 kms on a 50 litre tank. ($130 for 95 petrol at $2.60)

It is still marginally cheaper to drive the diesel (about 1000km/$170 = $0.17/km)  than the petrol car ($0.216/km)

I've never bought a car over $10,000.
Sure, the first half of my life, I didn't have a choice and bought cars, utes, vans for just $1000-$5000.  Learning my mechanics along the way with advice from friendly mechanics and car clubs.
Now, I can afford an Amarok if I like or a big Ram, etc.
But nah, I got a nice economical Nissen Dualis manual at wholesale price of $4000 (145,000km) with them selling from $10,000 up on dealership and private market. Just needed a detail clean. The year make reviews? No problems. 750km per tank.

Cars are cars. I'm thinking of getting an E-Scooter just to run around town.
Saw a guy on an electric skateboard with a big rubber wheel/tyre in the middle. Cool Cool Nothing cooler than old guys on skateboards.

One of the most vocal - you - has caved into this stupid net zero & renewables push by the lunatic socialist ALP Govt.

I never thought I'd hear it from you. Sad

I hope you haven't gone & bought one of those Chinese shyte box EVs?

Edit - I should have read the whole thread.

You did buy one of those shyte box chinese EVs.

And what's a new battery bank cost if it doesn't go the distance?

More the point what will be the re-sale value when the warranty runs out?

BTW be careful where you park it at home to recharge.

Yu wouldn't want to burn the house down.
