🚨🚨🚨 TRUMP ASKED THE WORLD TO SEND WARSHIPS. HERE'S WHAT EVERY COUNTRY SAID:
🇫🇷 France — OFFICIALLY REJECTED. Will not send warships.
🇨🇳 China — No response. Called it a "sovereign right."
🇬🇧 United Kingdom — "Discussing options with allies." No commitment.
🇯🇵 Japan — Silence. 70% of Japan's Middle East oil comes through Hormuz.
🇰🇷 South Korea — No confirmation. Seoul caught between Washington and its own oil dependency.
🇩🇪 Germany — No convoy support.
🇳🇴 Norway — Rejected.
🇶🇦 Qatar — Already STOPPED gas production. Declared force majeure. Their energy minister said "this will bring down economies of the world."
🇦🇪 UAE — Gulf states "tried to stop this war because they knew the implications."
🇮🇷 Iran — Still attacking ships. Still laying mines. Still blocking the strait.
10 countries. 0 warships.
The most powerful military on Earth asked for backup and got ghosted.
Just so. What's worse is Iran has the upper hand. They can go on blowing up ships and Gulf oil and gas plants for years. Who's going to stop them?
The new Supreme Leader just lost his leg, his wife and both parents to America's bombs. He's hardly going to play nice, and who'd expect him to?
The mullahs are a bunch of complete and utter bastards, but next to America and Israel, they look like angels.
This invasion has upended the entire Middle East. The invasion of Iraq was nothing by comparison. It took Cheney and Rumsfeld years of planning to topple Saddam. It also took allies, deals and an entire Coalition of the Willing.
When they finally declared Mission Accomplished, it took another five years to deal with the Ba'athists, al Qaida and ISIS, who spread into Syria, Libya and at least half a dozen African states.
Iraq has a quarter of Iran's population. The mullahs have all the power. There's no competing family or tribal groups, no leaders in exile.
To restore Gulf oil security, the US would need to send in the marines, fight a long, protracted war, topple the mullahs and put an even bigger bunch of khunts in power.
That won't be happening in an election year. Even if it did, the Joint Military Chiefs of Staff have just been purged, all the talent replaced with DL yes-men. The Secretary of "War" is an alcoholic who wouldn't know the difference between a Shahed drone and a Humvee - an important distinction, given the state of modern warfare.
The US hasn't fought in battle since Fallujia. Ignoring the determination of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, the US has yet to witness the capacity of one $30,000 drone, controlled from a bunker in Tehran.
Oil tankers in the Persian Gulf are now sitting ducks. Because of DL's inability to make friends and influence people, nobody's going to help. Who in their right minds would want to join forces with the world's current global pariahs, the US and Israel?
Netanyahu is currently at large for war crimes. It's only a matter of time before Trump is impeached again. His disapproval rating's up to 60%. For a wartime president, that's unprecedented.
The fake news rallied behind Bush during the invasion of Iraq - wall to wall propaganda. American flags flying, triumphant aerial footage of surgical strikes, war correspondents in flack jackets and talking heads outlining strategy.
Journalists are banned from the Pentagon. The prez won't take questions. As for disclosing objectives, we all know there aren't any. Bombing Iran back to the stone-age - an actual, repeated quote - is the closest they've come to describing the mission. Trump just said he might bomb Iran's biggest oil plant
just for fun.
Of course nobody's going to follow him into this war. The US prez has just overturned the delicate geopolitical order that is the Middle East, providing 30% of the world's fuel and fertilizer, on a whim. Over 10% of the world's wealth has just been erased from stock markets. Governments all over the world are dipping into their fuel reserves, cutting funds for food and social programs, spending
billions. Two million Iranians and nearly a million in Lebanon are homeless, homes destroyed, the death toll unknown -
just for fun.
We predicted it would go bad, but alas. Not even the most pessimistic among us thought things could go this bad, so fast.
Ever get the feeling?
