The problem with the notion that this was about liberating Iranians is that Pete Hegseth said,

"The only ones who need to be worried right now are Iranians that think they’re going to live."

The US are "liberating" the people of Iran by saying things like:

- death from the sky

- only just the beginning

- Iranians shouldn’t expect to live

What are they liberating them from, life?
