Everything going up today.
Everyone raising their prices, fees, etc upon the Petrol excuse.

Why not?
The Petrol Companies got away with it.
So now everyone is CASHING IN and so should you.
It's called Raising the Titanic!

I've already raised my fees 15% Smiley

I have an article for sale on facebook marketplace. It was listed for $650 and I changed the price to $750. I had somebody interested and he asked about the price increase.

I simply explained “ inflation “.

If my costs of living goes up so do my rates of doing business.

I'm worried about medicines from pharmacies .

Many people need special tablets every day - millions of people -
some will die without them.
These medicines are mostly made overseas.
If we don't have aviation fuel then aeroplanes won't land here
with our medicines as they won't get fuel to return.
Even if they do -
how will those medicines be supplied to pharmacies and
how will people get to pharmacies to get their prescriptions filled
if there is no fuel?
Could 100s of 1000s of people die due to lack of medicines?

Is it true?
Fuel is $4 a litre in NZ and they now have 2 days a week lockdown.

AI Overview

Australia imports approximately 90% of its medications, including generic drugs.
While some generic medicines are manufactured locally,
the vast majority are imported, predominantly from overseas,
with significant supplies coming from Europe and the USA.

A couple things are getting me off the booze. One being the price of petrol will mean that it costs me $100 to fuel my car. The other being that the attendant at the bottle shop just walks over to the scotch section of the store and gets me the 1 litre bottle to save me time.

That’s simply not true.

I have been told in the late Keating government there was a huge government effort to train hospitality workers.

As a result we make some very adequate coffee and average sandwiches.

Radio today started 6 oil tankers on route to Australia have now been diverted away.

Only last night Albo said that they were all on track for delivery.

If you are still believing anything any Australian politician is saying you have a mental illness and should seek assistance.

Lol

Yeah, we have imported a million hairdressers, trolley boys and people to man the counter at 7/11.

A lot found employment as NDIS workers at " learing " centres.
Some ran chop chop tobacconists , some drive ubers and door dash, a lot are employees of centrelink.

Our migration program is a great success  Wink

Yes.

And they - the CBD coffee shop owners - the "go to" people (after the airlines, of course) for medical "advice" (mostly regarding quarantine, lockdowns and masks) during pandemics would be the first ones to complain (along with the CBD office landlords who would lose rent) if people started working from home again during this petrol shortage and crisis.

Oh, and I haven't believed one word coming out of the mouth of any politician for many years now.

lol... Roger Cook and Amber-Jade Sanderson.

What a useless pair of idiots.

What is the WA government saying about fuel disruption amid the Middle East war?

Quote:
We're doing all we can to address the situation — but don't panic.

We've appointed a fuel security state controller — to prepare for future challenges.

We may need you to use less fuel and more public transport — but not just yet.

Quote:
"I know there's a lot of anxiety in the community at the moment about fuel supply and fuel prices," Western Australia Premier Roger Cook said on Wednesday.

"Part of the work we are doing is to reassure West Australians that we are doing everything we can to minimise the impact of this current challenge."

It's a tough line for governments — taking enough action to reassure the public, but not too much to cause anxiety about a problem it's hoping will go away.

"Polliespeak" at its finest.

Won't be long before they won't be able to say the P(etrol) word anymore, just like they haven't been able to say the C(ovid) word for the past few years.

Fuel theft is on the rise in Australia as motorists reach breaking point over the spiralling costs at the bowser.
Incidents of theft have been reported on the streets of regional Victoria and in Queensland, including brazen thieves who siphoned fuel from trucks as drivers slept at rest stops.
