Probably essential services like myself , a farmer and my wife a nurse would get petrol.

For many chodes on welfare or retirees  or public servants it will be a long walk to work, via the bare shelved supermarkets with the apex gang mugging you on the way.

This could be great for the physical fitness of the population

I seriously doubt that someone selling $2 bags of horse manure on a little farm in Nowheresville, Outback Queensland would be considered an "essential service".

I think most of the Apex gang are locked up -
they don't really tell us much about them.

Well, you know my view of the RBA and the 'property investors' these days.

The RBA is not a bank, it's a public service sinecure for an old mate to earn more than Croesus while smacking the country and its people in accordance with the Stalino-Fascist Progressive Left concept that the peole are as the cattle in the fields and they are the True People, due to their incredible knowledge of all things and their absolute connection with the realities of this world.

No wonder Labour became Labor - out of pure shame - after decrying 'elitism' for decades they are now Elitism Incarnate - and all at the mercy of a pack of sheilas with next to no real life experience and steeped in how to crush a patriarchy in ten days but only as long as you're comfy in life and the patriarchy pays your way fully.

Just spent a little over $20 for some petrol for the generator in case the over-priced power goes out again - then topped the car up to the tune of just $83 .... and they in Canberra are saying don't panic buy....  the ice cream bloke was at the local store delivering with his generator for cooler running (cool runnings, mon) - I thought - "There goes the neighbourhood price of an ice block - good thing it's not High Summer with kids just home from school."

I said to the assembled crowd (you normally see nobody) - "Who's with me in the march on Canberra?"  One woman piped up and said :- "It's not their fault."  You cannot lead the blind.... these 'governments' bled the country dry for their mates in Offshore and a few brown paper bags - successive governments over the past over four decades have steadily reduced a once great country to its knees.... while they live off the fattest in the land as if by some right ....

Who's with me in the march on Canberra?

You missed it - last night the call went out to 'work from home' ..... next time you call for a cop to home defend you'll receive sage advice on locking your doors ....  and yet at the same time discussion was on Sky News about the looming impact of AI ... job losses forecast..... again.... that'll really stir the pot... hope you've got your tent organised.

On the subject matter:-  Australia has two refineries going - I ask why then are we so reliant on the world global conspiracy economy?  The answer will come back that specific products - certain greases etc - can only be wrought from specific petroleums ..... I call BS on that...

Sinn Fein, brothers and sisters.. we MUST stand alone together... or we all go down.

Wave of the future:-                    "Do not panic - you have reached Robocop ..... all our lines are busy and your call has been placed in a queue and will be dealt with by our first available operator.... if your call is an emergency, please hang up and call your local religious provider - if you do not have one - one may be provided for you at public cost once your incident has been finalised ..... please be advised that taking the law into your own hands is a serious offence punishable by double the sentence any home invader would receive... thank you for calling Robocop and please be patient .... your call is now number seven thousand, nine hundred and fifty sixth in line.... your estimated waiting time is five days and four hours and fifty three minutes, unless you are terminated in the meantime.... have a nice day and enjoy our Indian sitar music .........................

With the price of petrol the way it is now, it has not stopped a person fueling up their car with a large caravan on the back of it. Not stopping a holiday which includes a large petrol bill.

They probably have a squillion in the bank & investments. Won't worry them.

He's hardly in the "outback".

Somewhere around Beaudesert & the Logan Valley area I thought.

Yeah, probably.

I just like messing with him, I've been doing it in the Coronavirus section for years. He doesn't seem to take the bait as much in these other parts of the forum but I still get the occasional 'nibble'.  Grin

If our governments weren't so cowardly these days and stopped hiding the numbers for the ongoing Covid hospitalisations and deaths (still much higher than the flu from what I've been able to find out) I could probably get him going again.  Smiley

Hi carl .

As I showed you , the consensus is there is a 20 to 40% chance of nuclear war, catastrophic failure of global trade or catastrophic attack on the power grid or financial institutions in the next decade.

That would result in your slow death from starvation.

Probably not even that slow.

I would think this vastly outweighs the threat of covid as a society ending event.  Smiley

That's us in Australia - panicking.   Roll Eyes

All the fuel problems we've had so far are from panic buying.

We should never get caught out like this again.
We need to produce our own oil products from now on -
we have shale oil – just like the Yanks – plenty of it.
It's time we exploited it for our national security.
