Shouldn't that be a "lack of action" or "government inaction"? Roll Eyes

Mothra?

I guess she's on her rag today and not allowed to use the internet.

She has that Valium fuzziness about the thinking that is an indicator of the progressive .... sad to watch the decay of what could have been a humanitarian, caring, and eegalitarian mind instead of a confused mass of emotional overloads bouncing off one another time and again.  Just reading a Dean Koontz book where one of his characters describes 'progressives' the same as I do - as the True New Nazis intolerant of all other views.

These kinds 'feel' - and yet their feelings are so wrapped in cotton wool that they simply cannot relate to the real world... and while 'feeling' for some they are gulaging others in the 'greater good'.  That kind made the best guards at Konzentrationslageren, being kind people while doing the most atrocious things - befehlen ist befehlen... ich have a responsibility you cannot fathom.... ach - zo terrible to zee zose children go to zer gas... but it is best for der Vaterland.....

Albo, being a classic of this kind of mentality, didn't lie about the voice or the ISIS brides - he just adapted to changing circumstances and within 24 hours could slide from 'we're not facilitating this' to total absorption into the mother lode blood of the general community of the viruses those things bring to any society and culture .... and at that community's cost.

That kind have a mind as slippery as an ancient clutch in a Honda motor bike - the clutch with seven plates that run in the engine oil... or as slippery as a hundred dollar bill on pay day....

‘Serious breach of human rights’: Experts condemn Islamic schools tracking girls’ periods

Female students have been forced to disclose their periods to teachers who keep a record of their menstrual cycles and send them to “period rooms”.

Female students at some Islamic schools in Victoria are being forced to reveal when they have their periods, with several colleges accused of monitoring or “tracking” students’ menstrual cycles, according to new claims.

Students from Muslim schools have alleged “invasive” practices, saying girls are sent to so-called “period” or “rag” rooms instead of attending prayers, and that teachers reportedly log how many days they are on their periods.

One student at Ilim College’s senior girls’ campus in Melbourne’s north said she had been coerced into disclosing her cycle with teachers since primary school, according to The Herald Sun.

“It’s really invasive and uncomfortable,” the teenager, who asked to remain anonymous, told the outlet.

“While prayers are on, if you are on your menstrual cycle you are forced to go to the Girls’ Room while other students are praying in the mosque.

“You’re not allowed to eat or drink [in there] and you have to watch religious videos.

“You get your name written down and if you attend for more than nine days or multiple times in a month you’re accused of lying and they call your parents.”

She alleges the practice has been occurring for at least 10 years.

Aynur Simsirel, the chief executive of Ilim College, confirmed that girls were taken to a “supervised space” called the Girls’ Room when excused from prayers for menstruation.

“It is well established within Islamic practice that women who are menstruating are religiously excused from performing the five daily prayers,” Ms Simsirel told The Herald Sun on Thursday morning.

“Attendance is recorded in the same way as any other supervised school activity, consistent with standard duty-of-care requirements.”

“Serious breach of human rights”

However, prominent human rights advocate Nesreen Bottriell, CEO of The Australian Muslim Women’s Centre for Human Rights, said that tracking menstrual cycles is not an Islamic practice.

“We are not aware of these practices occurring and we absolutely do not condone the tracking or monitoring of young women from any religious institution or school,” Ms Bottriell told news.com.au.

“Monitoring of young women’s menstrual cycles is not an Islamic practice and constitutes a serious breach of privacy and human rights that is not acceptable.”

Gross invasion of privacy”

Dr Sarah White, CEO of Jean Hailes for Women’s Health, agreed the practice was deeply concerning.

“It’s a gross invasion of privacy for a school to be tracking girls’ periods,” Dr White told news.com.au.

“No school should be monitoring menstruation for any reason.”

They're a bunch of disgusting barbarians.

Segregate & humiliate girls and radicalise young men.

All should be investigated.

Ah, the rag room, know it well.

It was a frequent haunt back in one's teaching days, no?

A calm respite from the classroom to be sure. A nice quiet place to do some marking.

Oh, you'd have to keep a few virgins off Facebook for a bit, but at belltime they'd become their fathers' problem. The important thing was to keep them uninseminated for the day - no easy task in co-ed. It gave one a newfound respect for the policies of the Taliban, I must say.

No need for rag rooms there. They keep them out of school entirely.

Not at all, dear. Mothra's a mother. She's perfectly free to remain in the household.

She can send the kiddies to the market if she needs any essential items. Her mother-in-law will supervise.

Allah Uakbar, no?

Don't be silly, Sir. We could all benefit from a bit of Sharia once in a while.

If one needs a divorce, for example, one can just say I divorce thee three times.

It can be most useful with elderly in-laws. Two goes at that, and they usually relent and let you use the bed.

Where else are they going to go?

Yes. They are stuck in the dark past like primitives unable to evolve and change in tune with the global environment. Just a relic of the Old Worlds, before the New World's came onto the scene and folded space, transcended time - all beyond the speed of light.

This is what happens to such. They explode like a supernova - their fuel spent.

The old boy spent a fortune divorcing his. He flew all this way too.

One has to feel for the brides, no? They don't want them here.

Now we're stuck with them.

Such a benevolent attitude you have toward the Taliban - misguided though ..yes?

They don't just keep girls out of school - all menstruating women are forced to stay at home because of their oppressive cultural & Islamic dictates.

Quote:
The Taliban’s broader, systematic policies create a situation where menstruating women are effectively isolated and denied care:

*Systemic Exclusion from Public Life: The Taliban has implemented sweeping bans that prevent women from attending school (above grade 6), visiting parks, gyms, and, in many areas, using public bathhouses (hammams). This forces women to remain at home, including during their periods.

*Lack of Access to Hygiene Products: Cultural taboos, compounded by the restriction of women's movement, make it difficult for women and girls to purchase essential menstrual hygiene products.

*Restriction on Health Services: The Taliban requires women to be accompanied by a mahram (male guardian) to access healthcare, and they have restricted women from seeing male doctors. This, combined with a ban on women training as nurses and midwives, severely limits access to gynecological and reproductive care.

*Cultural Taboos and Misinformation: Due to the closure of schools and the restriction of women from public spaces, there is a severe lack of education about menstrual hygiene. This is exacerbated by cultural, deeply traditional taboos where, in some areas, menstruating girls are restricted from touching certain items or are locked away.

In essence, while there might not be a specific "period ban," the Taliban’s policies create a "total exclusion" of women from public life, significantly increasing the difficulty for them to manage their menstrual health safely.
