Donald Trump stated that he wants to expand the Abraham Accords and link them to the US-Iran deal. The gist of his proposal is as follows: the US conducts complex negotiations with Iran to de-escalate the conflict, which should ultimately lead to stabilization in the Middle East. In exchange, Trump demands that countries in the region normalize relations with Israel. Specifically, he made this appeal to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan.

This is what needs to happen for the middle east to solve all its problems. The rift between religions has to take a back seat and countries to respect each other (all of them). Iran has made it impossible for countries to accept each other and try to build strong partnerships. This is the biggest step forward in middle east politics in my lifetime.

Iran signaled that yesterday's skirmish in the Strait of Hormuz with US forces, in which it lost several speedboats and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) fighters, would not derail talks with the United States, as Tehran's chief negotiator, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, remained in Qatar for talks throughout Tuesday.

@Mosolchi

After 3 months of internet outage
I connected from inside Iran
And I have only one message for the world
Don't believe the lies of the Western Ayatollah-loving medias
The Islamic Republic is not winning the war and has suffered a heavy defeat
Militarily, we witnessed the destruction of IRGC centers in cities every day

Economically, prices in Iran have exploded and we can no longer even afford to buy chicken and eggs
The regime has been controlling the streets with armed terrorists for more than three months in order not to fall
They cut off the internet for three months so that you wouldn't hear these words
Even if you hate Donald Trump
You have to accept that the decisive winner of this war is America

Internet in Iran cut off for 89 days many coming back online to say IRGC got smashed and they still want to overthrow terrorist Islamic regime.

At 10:17 p.m. ET on May 27, Iran launched a ballistic missile toward Kuwait that was successfully intercepted by Kuwaiti forces. This egregious ceasefire violation by the Iranian regime occurred hours after Iranian forces launched five one-way attack drones that posed a clear threat in and near the Strait of Hormuz. All drones were successfully intercepted by U.S. forces which also prevented a sixth drone launch from an Iranian ground control site in Bandar Abbas.

U.S. Central Command and regional partners remain vigilant and measured as we continue to defend our forces and interests from unjustified Iranian aggression.

"The US and Iran reached a tentative agreement to open the Strait of Hormuz and start nuclear talks, according to US officials — though President Donald Trump has not signed off on it yet. Iranian officials have not yet commented on a potential deal."

The Strait was open, and working fine, before the rapist in the White House started his illegal two-week war which has now been going for thirteen weeks.

He has no idea how to get out of the mess he's put the US in.

U.S. Forces Disable Non-Compliant Vessel in Gulf of Oman to Prevent Blockade Violation

TAMPA, Fla. — U.S. forces operating in the Gulf of Oman enforced blockade measures by disabling a Gambia-flagged maritime vessel attempting to sail toward an Iranian port, May 29.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces observed M/V Lian Star transiting international waters toward an Iranian port on the Gulf of Oman and issued more than 20 warnings while informing the vessel it was in violation of the U.S. blockade.

A U.S. aircraft disabled the vessel by firing a Hellfire missile into the ship’s engine room after Lian Star’s crew failed to comply. The ship is no longer transiting to Iran.

U.S. forces have disabled five commercial vessels and redirected 116 to fully enforce the blockade as a ceasefire with Iran remains in effect.

What's happened to Trump's latest TACO ceasefire agreement that he was supposed to sign?

60 days this time, wasn't it?

*Yawn* I'd rather be watching endless reruns of something like The Bold and the Beautiful than this boring soap opera.

I still find it unbelievable that those two morons apparently didn't know what would happen almost immediately when they started their little "two week excursion" at the end of February - that Iran would close the Strait of Hormuz.

Now Trump wants it open again (and there was no problems with the Strait before Trump started his illegal war as you've pointed out several times) but Iran have now seen a golden opportunity to make lots of money by managing the traffic going through the Strait. And I don't blame them.

Trump won't agree to that, of course plus he also wants all of Iran's 'nuclear dust' and Iran also won't agree to that.

Trump and Hegseth are probably spending the weekend trying to figure out what to do now. We may hear something by TACO Tuesday (again) perhaps?

The United Arab Emirates carried out dozens of airstrikes against Iran beginning in the early days of the war and continuing through the day after the April cease-fire was announced, people familiar with the matter said, a deeper involvement than was previously known in the air campaign led by the U.S. and Israel.

The extent of the strikes is further evidence of the country’s growing willingness to protect what it sees as its strategic interests, setting it apart from some of its neighbors in the Gulf region, which have taken a far more cautious approach to the threat from Iran.
