Axios reports: The Pentagon estimates that Iran has already lost up to $4.8 billion in oil export revenue due to the naval blockade.

The conflict involving Iran reached the 60-day mark Friday, and the Trump administration argues it has effectively ended due to a ceasefire that began in April — meaning congressional approval is no longer required.

Military genius from America, not wanting to get sucked into a guerilla war with Iran they are just going to blockade everything going in and out of Iran. The only war Iran can fight is to come out into the open and attack America. Iran hiding behind civilians won"t work in this war.

Trump derangement syndrome
Fareed Zakaria defined the term as "hatred of President Trump so intense that it impairs people's judgment"

Their argument is invalid.

Not that it matters.

The US is now a rogue state, and the dictator running it will do whatever he likes.

The Constitution, along with federal and state laws, mean absolutely nothing to the rapist and convicted felon in the White House.

TAMPA, Fla. — U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces will begin supporting Project Freedom, May 4, to restore freedom of navigation for commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

The mission, directed by the President, will support merchant vessels seeking to freely transit through the essential international trade corridor. A quarter of the world’s oil trade at sea and significant volumes of fuel and fertilizer products are transported through the strait.

“Our support for this defensive mission is essential to regional security and the global economy as we also maintain the naval blockade,” said Adm. Brad Cooper, CENTCOM commander.

The Islamic Guard Corps (IRGC) has delineated its control boundaries in the Strait of Hormuz.
This zone includes the Emirati port of Fujairah, through which the UAE, which withdrew from OPEC and OPEC+, planned to export oil to the global market.
...

The IRGC warned that any unauthorized passage would be met with force. To back up their words, the military launched two kamikaze drones at a tanker attempting to transit the strait without permission along the coast of Oman. The UAE-owned vessel was damaged.

The Iranians also launched two anti-ship ballistic missiles at the US Navy destroyer USS Canberra. The crew ignored the Iranian military's warning and attempted to transit the strait without permission. The missiles were apparently intercepted.

🚫 CLAIM: Iranian state media claims that Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps hit a U.S. warship with two missiles.

✅ TRUTH: No U.S. Navy ships have been struck. U.S. forces are supporting Project Freedom and enforcing the naval blockade on Iranian ports.

U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyers are currently operating in the Arabian Gulf after transiting the Strait of Hormuz in support of Project Freedom. American forces are actively assisting efforts to restore transit for commercial shipping. As a first step, 2 U.S.-flagged merchant vessels have successfully transited through the Strait of Hormuz and are safely headed on their journey.

U.S. Forces Disable Vessel in Gulf of Oman Attempting to Violate Blockade

TAMPA, Fla. — U.S. forces operating in the Gulf of Oman enforced blockade measures by disabling an Iranian-flagged unladen oil tanker attempting to sail toward an Iranian port at 9 a.m. ET, May 6.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces observed M/T Hasna as it transited international waters enroute to an Iranian port on the Gulf of Oman. American forces issued multiple warnings and informed the Iranian-flagged vessel it was in violation of the U.S. blockade.

After Hasna’s crew failed to comply with repeated warnings, U.S. forces disabled the tanker’s rudder by firing several rounds from the 20mm cannon gun of a U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet launched from USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). Hasna is no longer transiting to Iran.

The U.S. blockade against ships attempting to enter or depart Iranian ports remains in full effect. CENTCOM forces continue to act deliberately and professionally to ensure compliance.
