Logical and somewhat overdue

Quote:
U.S. to Blockade Ships Entering or Exiting Iranian Ports

TAMPA, Fla. — U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces will begin implementing a blockade of all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports on April 13 at 10 a.m. ET, in accordance with the President’s proclamation.

The blockade will be enforced impartially against vessels of all nations entering or departing Iranian ports and coastal areas, including all Iranian ports on the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman. CENTCOM forces will not impede freedom of navigation for vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz to and from non-Iranian ports.

Additional information will be provided to commercial mariners through a formal notice prior to the start of the blockade. All mariners are advised to monitor Notice to Mariners broadcasts and contact U.S. naval forces on bridge-to-bridge channel 16 when operating in the Gulf of Oman and Strait of Hormuz approaches.

@U_S_CENTCOM

It looks like Tehran wants more negotiations now.

...

China has started to make noises too.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun stated that Beijing intends to maintain its naval presence in the region and fulfill energy deals with Tehran.

China, which receives a significant portion of its fuel through the Strait of Hormuz, does not intend to abandon Iranian oil and will protect its interests in the region.

I think that indicate the blockade effectiveness.

US Central Command claims that not a single vessel has managed to breach the American blockade in 24 hours.
Six merchant vessels reportedly complied and were ordered to turn back.

According to CNN reports a Chinese tanker subject to US sanctions  has successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz.

However according to Marine Traffic the Malawi-flagged Rich Starry, a Chinese-owned vessel subject to US sanctions passed through the Strait of Hormuz on the morning of April 14 but turned around near Qeshm Island. China is listed as the Rich Starry's destination.

Just shows CNN anti Trump bias.

🇮🇷🇺🇸 Iran has told the US it is willing to suspend uranium enrichment for up to five years, the NYT reports, citing Iranian and US officials.

According to the newspaper, Tehran made a similar proposal at talks in Geneva in February, after which Trump decided to launch an operation against Iran.

Now, during a meeting in Pakistan, the US has proposed a 20-year moratorium on uranium enrichment to Iran.

Fourteen US Navy ships are deployed in the Arabian Sea, including a carrier strike group led by the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, according to a report from the United States Naval Institute (USNI).

On April 13, the day Washington began blockading the Strait of Hormuz, a carrier strike group consisting of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, as well as the destroyers USS Spruance and USS Petersen, was deployed in the Arabian Sea. An amphibious group consisting of the ship USS Tripoli, the amphibious transport dock USS New Orleans, and the amphibious dock ship USS Rushmore was also deployed there.

In addition to the strike and amphibious groups, eight more destroyers are independently deployed in the Arabian Sea, including the USS Murphy, which, along with Peterson, transited the Strait of Hormuz on April 11 as part of a mine-clearing mission. The aircraft carrier USS George HW Bush will soon join naval forces in the region, USNI reports.

It seems that a game being played by the Pentagon and the White House. Under the guise of a blockade, the US military command is clearly marshalling its ships to continue the operation.

The US Navy is "pressing" closer to the shore and forming a semicircle. Apparently, they are forming an anti-missile/anti-aircraft "dome" over the Strait of Hormuz. Moreover, this "dome" will also cover Bandar Abbas and Qeshm Island.
Previous wars experience shows, US aircraft carriers are moving closer to the shore for a reason. This is done to ensure continuous close support for troops on the battlefield. The United States Navy performed such maneuvers repeatedly during the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Desert Storm, and the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

Pecca has had a childhood trauma he is unable to recover from.
His parents put chicken manure in his cradle thinking that he would grow faster but the manure was fresh and burned him, so to avoid family scandal they told him that chickens did it to him.
Now chicken image stack in his head forever   Sad

Yesterday, an Iranian-flagged cargo vessel tried to evade the U.S. blockade after leaving Bandar Abbas, exiting the Strait of Hormuz, and transiting along the Iranian coastline. The guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111) successfully redirected the vessel, which is heading back to Iran.

Ten vessels have now been turned around and ZERO ships have broken through since the start of the U.S. blockade on Monday.

On April 15, 2026, the US Senate rejected a war powers resolution in a 47-53 vote, failing to restrict President Donald Trump from using military force against Iran without congressional authorization. The bipartisan measure sought to compel the withdrawal of US forces from unauthorized combat, but failed to pass.

A similar resolution had previously failed to pass in the House of Representatives.
