🇦🇪🇮🇷 The United Arab Emirates have revoked all residence permits for Iranian citizens. This was reported by the Tehran Times newspaper.

In particular, Abu Dhabi has cancelled the "golden" residence permits, which were issued for investments in the country. The publication claims that in this way, the UAE "appropriated Iranian assets worth about $530 billion".

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirms, using satellite imagery, that the heavy water plant at Khondab, part of Iran's Arak nuclear complex, has "suffered severe damage and is no longer operational."

Well... US troop build-up is getting Iran to reinforce 'the island' - easy way to fight a war - not too many civilians... put all those defences in there and they are target rich and a costly loss to Iran.

As for Young Hastie - he clearly is obfuscating over the 'strategy' - or he should stick to tactics.  Remember that Captain is the lowest commissioned rank in The Regiment.... equivalent of a second lieutenant and really under the experienced sergeant.  Walk out of OCS and you can walk in if you are selected...

Australia is a very rich but totally unserious country.

I can't think of anything that Australiaa has been doing right for the last few decades.
Not education, not immigration, not energy and the economy, not defence, inductry, foreign relations, cultural and artistic direction.
Everything sees to have been sacrificed for cheap imports of every kind - raw materials, people, culture, education.

And yet it is one of the most expensive countries for almost everything but relentlessly impoverished in every other way.

Yeah. With NZ. We've been turned into nothing but a Service Provider nation.

The Israeli Defense Ministry stated that its military attacked more than 40 facilities in Iran over the past 48 hours. Among the targets hit were a petrochemical complex in Tabriz, a cement plant, a steel mill, research centers, including the Tehran University of Science and Technology, power plants, and others.
Israel, along with the United States, also bombed a heavy water reactor in Khondab and a yellowcake (uranium concentrate) plant in Ardakan.
The Defense Ministry claims the affected facilities were allegedly used for missile production and nuclear weapons development.
