Big deck amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli (LHA-7) and amphibious transport docks USS San Diego (LPD-22) and USS New Orleans (LPD-18) transited the Singapore Strait one day prior, with local media outlet Channel News Asia showing a video of Tripoli’s transit past Singapore. Automated Identification System data, which ships broadcast to provide their positioning, showed Tripoli, San Diego and New Orleans sailing north up the Malacca Strait on Tuesday night local time.

The US is sending a US Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) including the USS Tripoli with 2,500 Marines, F-35 warplanes, V-22 Osprey, and transport helicopters;

Out of 2,500 Marines, only 1,200 are part of a ground combat element, the rest are spread across air combat elements, command, logistics, and other supporting roles;

The MEU could participate in the seizure of Kharg Island and other critical facilities, board and seize ships, sink ships, augment US regional airpower with its F-35 warplanes, or augment US regional missile forces with its compliment of HIMARS and ATACMS/PrSM munitions;

The MEU poses a threat to the shipping of energy to China Iran is reportedly allowing through the Strait of Hormuz specifically because of its anti-shipping capabilities created specifically for war with China;

What the hell is going on?
Trump hit Kharg island but didn't hit the oil infrastructure but
now he has hit Iran's gas fields so Iran has retaliated by hitting Qatar's gas fields.
Does Trump want to see the entire Gulf region completely destroyed
for the next 10 years?
The idea was to stop Iran not ruin the whole Persian Gulf.
This is the most serious situation so far.

Iran’s IRGC warns it will destroy Gulf energy industry if its own attacked again

By AFP
19 March 2026, 12:00 am

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warns that it will destroy the oil and gas industry of its Gulf neighbors, which it considers American interests, if its own energy sector is harmed again.

“We warn you once again that you made a big mistake in attacking the energy infrastructure of the Islamic Republic, the response to which is being implemented,” the Revolutionary Guards announces, in a statement carried by Iranian media. “If it is repeated again, further attacks on your energy infrastructure and that of your allies will not stop until it is completely destroyed, and our response will be much more severe than tonight’s attacks.”

Trump wants no more strikes on Iran's energy sites – report
Donald Trump does not want any ‌further strikes on Iran’s energy infrastructure after Israel struck facilities linked to Iran’s South Pars gas field today, the Wall Street Journal reports, citing US officials.

The officials told the Journal that Trump supported that attack as a message to Tehran ‌over its blocking of the strait of Hormuz, but is now against any further attacks.

That would be beneficial to US Big Oil, especially to shale oil, industry.

Alternatively Trump is secret greenie and is forcing renewable green energy acceptance.

The attack was widely reported in Israeli media to have been carried out by Israel with U.S. consent,
though neither country acknowledged immediate responsibility.

Looks like I quoted an error.
Trump just said:

https://edition.cnn.com/world/live-news/iran-war-us-israel-trump-03-18-26

“Israel, out of anger for what has taken place in the Middle East, has violently lashed out at a major facility known as South Pars Gas Field in Iran,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

The United States knew nothing about this particular attack,” he said, adding that Qatar was similarly unaware.

Following this evening's Iranian attack on oil and gas facilities in Ras Lafan, Qatar is expelling the military attaché and security officer from the Iranian embassy in Qatar.
They have been declared personae non gratae and given an ultimatum to leave Qatar within 24 hours.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that it will take further action if Iranian aggression continues.

It seems that the US and Israeli leaders don’t care about us at all –
even if we run out of fuel and millions of us die – they don’t care.

The US produces enough for themselves and some for export – so they’re OK -
and they are legally obliged to supply Israel with fuel.

Gee Bobby, you still haven't worked it out. For 9 years Trump has been telling us that we have to untie ourselves form being reliant on countries that want to bring down America. Iran is the one stopping oil supplies not America.. Iran can't go chanting death to America and be surprised when America come and destroy their weapons.

Trump derangement syndrome
Fareed Zakaria defined the term as "hatred of President Trump so intense that it impairs people's judgment"

Lets check in at 5pm on 23rd July 2025 then at 5pm on 30th July

Trump didn't consult with NATO or any of his allies including us.
We had no chance to buy extra fuel supplies as a buffer -
we were caught out with only 3 weeks supply.
It could be a catastrophe for Australia.

Trumps response was good it gives him plausible deniability it's not like Iran could hate the jews even more than they already do.
The threats to trash Iranian gas field is a FAFO warning.

The Gulf Arabs aren't happy with Iran sending missiles and drones along with blocking all oil from them going out SOH.
While we whinge about paying more for petrol the Gulf Arabs have lost income.
Qatar just kicked out all Iranian diplomats Saudis are now backing regime change along with UAE they want leaders who will never block their oil exports via SOH.

Now imagine a nuclear armed Iran causing havoc and blocking SOH what could we do with them?

I predict regime change within 3-6 months maybe quicker then oil prices will drop as Iran won't have sanctions if they get their Monarchy back.

Leftists and the Ayatollahs have a lot in common when it comes to criticism of Islam, they don't tolerate it.
