The US is dispatching roughly 9,000 sailors and Marines aboard a flotilla of warships to the Middle East, a major naval buildup that could bring three American aircraft carriers to the region by late October or November as President Donald Trump warns that renewed strikes against Iran remain possible.

The move, confirmed by US officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive military operations and reported by major US media outlets, marks one of the largest concentrations of US naval power in the Gulf and Arabian Sea since the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

It comes as diplomatic efforts to end the eight-month-old US-Iran conflict have stalled, with Tehran and Washington trading accusations and threats even as both sides say they seek to avoid an all-out regional war.

Citing a source in Pakistan's Ministry of Defense, media outlets reported that Pakistani fighter jets have begun striking Ansar Allah positions in Yemen. The aircraft were recently deployed to airbases in Saudi Arabia.
However, the source ruled out the participation of Pakistani troops in a ground operation against the Houthis.

For the ground campaign, Saudi Arabia plans to enlist another ally: Syria.
US media reported that Riyadh has requested assistance from Damascus.
Plans are in place to deploy between 10,000 and 20,000 fighters from the Syrian Arab Army’s 90th and 84th divisions to Yemen. Syrian President Abu Muhammad al-Julani is seriously considering sending troops to Yemen to fight the Houthis.

TAMPA, Fla. — U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces disabled a commercial cargo vessel in the Gulf of Oman, Oct. 10, after the ship’s crew ignored repeated warnings and attempted to run the ongoing naval blockade against Iran.

A U.S. military fighter jet struck the stern of Panama-flagged M/V Ocean Molica (also known as the “Arika Sun”) with a precision munition, fully disabling the ship’s propulsion without harming the crew. The large cargo vessel was attempting to transit regional waters after having previously departed an Iranian port.

💡Both Iranian experts and American analysts believe that the maritime sanctions on the Islamic Republic, without any specific military operations or even bringing a single soldier to the soil of #ایران, have so far had a significant impact and exerted more pressure on the regime's shaky economy. Here too, Ms. Stella Escobedo refers to the same point.

Nothing going in no oil going out and like every other Islamic country that doesn't have oil money it's becoming a basket case.

IRGC army and Police aren't getting paid inflation rising rapidly

When you look at the MOU Iran gave a list of what was important to them Trump took all of it away

Oh, dear.

Two cargo ships sunk in Strait of Hormuz as Iran ramps up attacks in run-up to midterms

Quote:
Two cargo ships have sunk near the Strait of Hormuz in the past 24 hours after being struck by unknown projectiles in separate incidents – highlighting the heightened danger to shipping as Iran steps up attacks in an attempt to regain control over the critical waterway.

The Singapore-registered container ship GFS Pride was struck on Tuesday while passing through the strait, catching fire and later sinking, according to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore. All crew members were safely evacuated.

Quote:
The merchant vessel Cape Dao, registered under Antigua and Barbuda, also sank, according to data from the International Maritime Organization (IMO) on Wednesday – after it was first hit by projectile on September 23. One Indian crew member was killed.

Surely Iran can't be responsible because their military capabilities were "completely and utterly obliterated on day one".

Trump said so.

And, yes - we will probably be seeing a lot more of this in the run-up to the midterms. I bet Diaper Don is pooping himself more than usual because he knows (or should know by now) how unpopular his illegal war is with the majority of Americans.

U.S. forces destroyed an Iranian-affiliated dhow conducting surveillance and targeting U.S. Navy ships in the Gulf of Oman. Over the past seven months, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has continued to indiscriminately target thousands of civilian mariners transiting regional waters in addition to U.S. Navy warships. Crew members were safely removed prior to destruction of the dhow. Repatriation efforts are ongoing.

The US military has developed new strike plans that include potentially using the so-called “mother of all bombs” to target Iranian energy infrastructure and nuclear sites.

MOP delivered by stealth b52 would be better then MOAB delivered by  MC-130 cargo aircraft.

A glassy parking lot that glows in the dark?

Well - no - the ordinary people of Iran who have suffered outrageously under this regime must throw them out... if that takes hangings from cranes, then so be it.

Their people once were a cradle of civilisation... now they're nothing... Islam infects and destroys everything it touches.

Pickaxe Mountain Nuclear Complex is buried 80 to 100 meters.

30,000-pound GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators (MOPs) are designed to penetrate up to 60 meters of reinforced earth or concrete.

Even if MOP does not penetrate directly to center of the Nuclear Complex shock wave carried throw 20-40 meters of rock will produce considerable damage inside of the Complex.
That is from single MOP while a B2 can carry two MOPs and there can be more then one B2 taking part in the attack.
