So, is the Strait of Hormuz open or closed?

No wonder it's been referred to as Schrödinger's Strait quite a few times lately.  Grin

Who knows?

Iran is now "completely and totally" in control, thanks to one rapist and one rapist only - Donald J. Trump.

The world has never seen a foreign policy disaster as bad as this, and probably never will again.

Everything - and I mean absolutely everything - he touches turns to crap.

Open?

Ah.

Just like it was before the rapist started an illegal, unnecessary war.

Thanks for clearing that up.

The US military released footage of what it claimed was its first use of maritime drones in strikes against Iran.

"Three Corsair unmanned surface vehicles struck a port at the Bandar Abbas Naval Base, marking the first time US forces have used maritime drones in combat operations," US Central Command stated in a video posted on the social media platform X.

According to CENTCOM, the drones attacked a submarine and ship maintenance facility. The command claims the strike has reduced Tehran's ability to continue attacks on commercial shipping. As the command reported, the US used attack maritime drones for the first time on Monday night as part of the latest wave of strikes against Iranian targets.

Fake news.

Iran's military capabilities were "completely and totally obliterated on day one".

Moreover, there's no war.

President Donald Trump formally notified lawmakers this weekend that the nation is once again at war with Iran, giving his administration another 60-day clock to use the military in the region without congressional approval.

Doesn't seem like it's too open to me.  Undecided

One dead and eight injured as Tehran targets tankers in Strait of Hormuz, UAE says

Quote:
The UAE says an Indian national is dead and eight others are injured after Iran launched cruise missiles at two tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. It comes after Donald Trump said the US would reinstate its blockade of Iranian ports and become "the guardian" of the Strait.

Well, it may be open as far as Trump and tallowood are concerned but it does seem to be a bit on the dangerous side right now.

Everything Trump touches, he destroys. Everything.

Ships were travelling through the Strait just fine before Trump started his illegal, unnecessary war.

And now that he's started the war again, he can end it for the 43rd (?) time.

They'll have to give him a dozen Peace Prizes.

Oh? Is that so?

DL plans a to go into the security business and take a 20% cut of all ships through the strait?

Quote:
Bloomberg reported that a 20 per cent charge would work out to about $US32 million ($46 million) for a fully-loaded, very large crude carrier at current oil prices, as compared to the $US2 million per ship toll that Iran reportedly demanded at the height of the war.

https://www.afr.com/world/middle-east/trump-reinstates-hormuz-blockade-demands-2...

I don't know about you, dear, but if I was in the oil shipping business, I know which side I'd rather go with.

Who could possibly trust the USA to stick to DL's plans? Not only has Iran destroyed all US bases in the region, the Americans set fire to their own air craft carrier, putting the USS Gerald Ford out of commission. Iran's currently attacking any Gulf state that supports America. They're sitting ducks.

Iran now runs the Strait of Hormuz, as every schoolboy knows. We can expect a full US withdrawal with Iran in total control.

You watch, DL will lose interest and invade Cuba any day now. I give it - oh, two weeks.

Look over there, leftards. Ever get the feeling you've been farmed?

Yes, but that was then, Greggery. DL's now got two choices: put boots on the ground or surrender to the mullahs.

They'd love nothing more than a US land invasion. Iran has over a million troops, just itching for a war. Invading a territory like Iran would be another Gallipoli - troops would be dessicated.

That leaves option B: full surrender. Here, DL will fire off a post saying how bored he is, he's so over the mullahs. JD can cancel his trip to Pakistan, DL's done.

If the Cubans are lucky, he'll start complaining about Greenland again.

With the mullahs in charge of the strait, Xi will be free to take the South China sea.

And that, leftards, will be that. DL always said he wanted an end to the global rules-based order, no?

We'll win so much we'll grow tired of winning.
