Trump hasn't 'lost' - he's playing a long game with these idiots.  As for American lives - he's done pretty well so far not losing very many ... and I'll say it again - he has already signalled that he wants the US to withdraw from being the 'global police force' - similar to the Romans and their Empire past - meaning he does not want New Imperialism to take place... though it may have to to control these maniacs.
