Iran strikes back: Iran has launched “dozens” of ballistic missiles towards Israel,

according to an IRGC-affiliated news outlet. The Israeli military said it had identified missiles launched from Iran toward Israel, and said its air force was working to intercept them.

• Blasts across Gulf: Iran is beginning to retaliate with strikes across the region. CNN reporters have heard explosions in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, and smoke has been seen rising from the city. There are also reports of multiple explosions in Bahrain and Qatar. All three countries host US military bases.

New wave of Iranian missiles target Israel: Army
Israel’s army says sirens were sounded “a short while ago” in several areas across the country following the identification of missiles launched from Iran.

“At this time, the Israeli Air Force is operating to intercept and strike threats where necessary to remove the threat,” the military statement said on Telegram.

“The defense is not hermetic, and therefore it is essential that the public continue to adhere to the Home Front Command’s guidelines. The public is requested to continue to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command,” it added.

Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency has reported that an Israeli strike hit an elementary girl’s school in Minab, a city located in the Hormozgan province of southern Iran.

It added that five students were killed.

Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis (Ansarallah) have decided to resume missile and drone attacks on Red Sea shipping routes and on Israel in support of Iran, the Associated Press reported on Saturday.

Citing Houthi officials, AP said the first strike could come as soon as “tonight,” although the group’s leadership has not issued a formal announcement.

The Houthis had paused attacks on Red Sea shipping under a deal with US President Donald Trump’s administration that halted US strikes on the group. They also stopped targeting Israel after an October 2025 ceasefire reduced major fighting in Gaza.
