Hot Cross Buns have been available since Boxing Day.

I'm sure Easter Eggs would also have been available since Boxing Day except that they have a tendency to melt in the Aussie summer heat by the time people get them home.

No, Cross Buns have been available, they haven’t been hot.

In 2026, Melbourne experiences its autumnal equinox on March 21 at 1:46 AM AEDT (March 20, 14:46 UTC).
This event marks the start of autumn in the Southern Hemisphere,
with roughly equal day and night length,
followed by shorter days and cooler weather.
The vernal (spring) equinox occurs on September 22, 2026.

'Steam clean commercial rentals like Britex or Rug Doctor machines, which are available at Coles, Woolworths, and Bunnings for roughly $44–$54'.

Pour your warm water into the cold machine. Spray it out and watch the clouds of steam collecting last year's hot cross bun.

The reason they have kept the Cross Buns going year round is due to demand.
Seems Australians enjoy them.
Maybe they enjoy upsetting Moslems too?

No that's the croissant. Stuf a croissant in your cross bun and things get really cross.

That's because they've actually been frozen. Wink

Makes a mockery of Woolworths jingle about being the "Fresh Food People".  Grin

They were on the shelves on Boxing Day Dec 26th 2025.

Bought ahead by a week to out do last years effort of January the 1st.  Roll Eyes

They haven't been available all year here.

This is the first year that the Woolies bakery has not been making fresh ones.

The ones I picked up the other day were so hard you could call them Rock Cakes.
