Toyota has confirmed it will join the Repco Supercars Championship with a 5.2-litre V8 engine.
The Ford motor is 5.4L, and the Chevrolet 5.7L.
all limited to 600 horsepower (447kW)

five Supras, two from Walkinshaw TWG Racing, driven by Chaz Mostert and Ryan Wood, with three fielded by Brad Jones Racing, contested by Andre Heimgartner, Cam Hill, and Macauley Jones,

points wise, the media should be making big news of it.
This is a marketing bonanza.

Saturday.
toyota did not as well as i hoped, 8th, 11th, 12th, 23rd and a dnf

I doubt the DNF get any pts (blown motor, big plume of smoke, oil on track)

the last place getter - I suppose he gets a few pts

the 11th and 12th finishers - had their pts removed as a mechanic broke safety protocol in pits lane

the 8th place getter - lost his pts as he had no tyre pressure sensor in his wheels

Saturday night, they replaced 2 motors and started again in sunday

Sunday, all 5 toyota cars finised in the top 10

Car companies crying they are struggling and need taxpayers bailout money via the Govt - but can afford expensive racing ventures
