It is important to adopt a strong moral posture while helping terrorists back into the country.

Who knows. Maybe he changed his mind. Either way, I support his current stance. The only way these people should have ever been allowed back into the country was on their way to jail. Which I would be prepared to do if they are our responsibility under international law. I suspect they are instead being rewarded with free housing and no obligations.

Maybe Albo has noticed the rise of One Nation so he wants to appear more right wing
to gain some popularity out of this?

It reminds me a bit of the voice. It took a long time, but common sense finally kicked in. Sort of. He certainly is not a leader on the issue, by any measure.

His tongue only sticks to licking the rim.
Hence his popularity with Gwoggy & Karnal.

Correct.  That's just the sleazy little scumbag talking "tough" and trying to impress us infidels.

He might not be directly repatriating these women and kids but he's not standing in their way either, and once back here as he very well knows they will end up shortly after this minor hiccup, the govt will take over providing free housing, medical and welfare for the rest of their radical little lives.

Unlike normal Australian women on welfare who, once their youngest child turns 14, will be expected to go back to work and provide for their own families, these women have it made and will bludge on the Australian taxpayers forever.   Angry

Surely the minister has discretion in this situation?

Oh wait! The minister relies on the Islamic vote in his neck of the woods.  Wink

Man kills a victim and is convicted. He goes to jail.
Also his wife.
And kids.
It's their own fault.

Professor Saul says:

"Once you get back in Australia, if you've done anything wrong, you can be prosecuted under any of Australia's very extensive terrorism offences, including simply being present in particular declared areas where ISIS was active back in the day."
