Measles in the US

Trump and RFK Jr are to blame.

Tracking measles cases in the United States

Recent outbreaks of measles in the United States are driving up case counts and raising alarm among public health experts, especially as vaccination rates among children lag.

US cases surged to a record high in 2025, and three people died — the first reported measles deaths in the United States since 2015. Measles continues to spread rapidly in 2026, with more cases reported in the first month than is typical for a full year.

The vast majority of measles cases in the US are among unvaccinated people.

Unfortunate but compared to the number of lives RFK  is going to save by taking on big food and their criminal ultra processed carbohydrate dietary disaster, measles is a tiny cause of mortality and the corrupt FDA especially the FOOD  part is a massive killer.

RFK  deserves the Nobel prize if he can get American off high fructose corn syrup addiction and end the obesity epidemic

Just so, dear. If he can get the big fella off the twinkies, even better.

But no, when the next pandemic comes, they'll be prepared.

Belt and braces, innit.

Things can only go from bad to worse with that nutjob RFK Jr. in charge of "Health".

Measles... Covid... Flu.

And, coming soon... Nipah with its current 40 to 75 percent fatalty rate, no treatment and no vaccine.

Speaking of the flu:

52 Kids Have Died From Flu So Far This Season as Child Hospitalizations Rise

Quote:
MONDAY, Feb. 2, 2026 (HealthDay News) — The flu is hitting kids hard this season.

So far, 52 kids have died from the flu, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said on Jan. 30. About 9 in 10 had not received a flu shot.

Health experts say they’re worried the worst may still be ahead.

Not just the "oldies" dying, is it? I wonder how many Covid cases and deaths they've had? They won't talk about it anymore (just like here in Australia) but I'm betting it's a lot more than the flu.

Quote:
The CDC estimates there have already been at least 20 million flu cases this season, leading to about 270,000 hospital stays and 11,000 deaths across all ages.

11,000 deaths. And that's considered to be 'perfectly normal', is it? Unbelievable.

Quote:
Major medical groups, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, continue to recommend annual flu vaccines.

“How can you not see a correlation of more deaths and more hospitalizations with less vaccinations?” Slafkosky said. “I can’t stress it enough: It’s not too late to get a flu shot. It may not keep you from getting the flu, but it may prevent you from more serious complications, and keep you and your children out of the hospital.”

Yes, and most of this death and illness is due to the idiot antivaxxers - especially RFK Jr.

Shocking stuff.

Measles outbreaks in South-East Asia bringing cases to Australia

A surge in measles in South-East Asia is bringing cases of the highly infectious disease to Australian shores, prompting warnings from health authorities.

Vietnam and Thailand are experiencing measles outbreaks, with health professionals concerned about vaccination rates against the disease.

In Vietnam, the health ministry reported a whopping 130-fold increase in measles cases in 2024 compared to the previous year.

Well, I had my 2 measles vaccines last year (it's a 2 dose vaccine, about a month apart).

I probably had the vaccine when I was a kid but I couldn't remember, the pharmacist at our local TerryWhite said it was a good idea to have another one (two) just in case.

I've said this before and I'll say it again.

When is the government - any government for that matter - going to finally "grow a set" and start addressing the "elephant in the room"?

And by that I mean when are they going to start taxing the airlines to help pay for all the health costs caused by having to deal with all these diseases that they (the airlines) spread around the world 365 days a year with (apparently) zero effort made to do anything about it?

Of course, pigs will fly before that happens and, if by some miracle it did, no doubt the costs would be passed on to flyers with increased air fares. Good, stuff 'em I say. If they can afford to fly they can afford to pay a bit extra for their tickets as well.

It's not the airlines.
It's government giving visas to people from high risk countries - whether the risk is terrorism, health or immigration fraud.

It is not the airlines responsibility to check every countries' health and immigration requirements.

That's okay. DL pardoned the big guy and sent him back to Honduras.

From there, he plans to re-shove as many drugs as he can up the gringos' noses.

You?
