Grin it is a good distraction but I never voted for them labor crooks. Only once ever in my life I did vote labor, after I turned 18 yrs of age, to get rid of that liberal mandatory conscription thingy to fight in Vietnam war.
But sport is always good. Politics is a different ball game (pun intended).

Sport is a true Leftism industry and Media player.
Hence why you have a Pro-Leftism political party in and this is what you get with it.
Just like with the ALP at Federal level.
You win at Sport, but lose at Politics.

Well Sophia, if it's any sort of consolation I'm pretty sure this isn't just confined to Victoria and Labor.

They're all corrupt to some extent - Liberal and Labor, every State and Territory in Australia.

The only 'difference' is that some are more 'skilled' at avoiding getting caught out than others.

Most of our useless pollies have turned "flying under the radar" into an art form (same as they have with lying).

If the Media doesn't being it to light.
Then it never happened and the Media has proven itself to be just as corrupt for a tax payer funding.

Luckily we have the Internet.

With Labor corruption is a problem with the Liberals it's a desirable feature.

Such cynicism, unfortunately completely justified.

Having lived in Victoria (Melb). As someone from Sydney.
My advice Sophia is: don't chase a weakness, follow a strength.
Meaning...
Yes, Victoria is probably the crappiest at Politics.
But Sport has done Victoria well.
So just accept that Politics won't make your State rich.
But return to your true Victorian nature of living Sport and make it boom.
Don't try to turn the rest of the States into Sporting States - just make Victoria the Sporting State and the money will start to flow, as well as the State pride, etc.

Afterall. It's what I enjoyed the most about Victoria.
It's all about 'specialisation'.
Even Kennett knew this and why he stole the Grand Prix from Adelaide.

Hell. You might even start winning the AFL every year, they'll start calling it the VFL again. Wink Wink Wink
