Stupidity. Women are stupid in particularly feminine ways.
Blokes are stupid in blokey ways.

Not the same.

Now the AFP, in its tin-eared foolishness, has fired off a social media post in what can only be seen as a bid to appear edgy, hip and down with the kids. The infantilisation of our institutions continues at pace. Many organisations have hollowed themselves out to appear relevant and modern, compromising their authority and usefulness in the process. Over many years, the police, and each branch of our armed forces has lowered entry standards to the point of farce. This degrades the institution and endangers society while insulting the excellent men and women who actually deserve to be in their positions.

Universities now admit aspiring teachers who cannot pass basic literacy and numeracy tests. This is trend matches the declining abilities of school leavers and — added benefit! — it scotches those pesky white-colonial notions of merit and excellence. Further, whether the AFP brass know it or not, they have given vindictive women a chance to destroy the reputations and lives of what may well be innocent men, snitching being typical of toxic femininity. The  catty, gossipy, sneaky, malevolent, and reputation-ruining malevolence of mean girls is these days found everywhere. Just ask Linda Reynolds.

I suspect it was a Gen Z woman who authored the AFP post; if not, the author has certainly internalised the attitude of the worst elements of that generation. The self-serving notion is that all that matters is being ‘authentic’ and bold, especially if it advances a personal agenda. It is my fervent and perhaps forlorn hope that someone older and allegedly wiser at the AFP was not responsible for posting that tweet.

Compared relatively to everyone else of the 1950's 60's and 70's both Labor and the Liberals have moved substantually to the right side of politics. Menzies of the 50's and 60's was considered to be rather extreeme right where his position of that day would today be considered moderate left.

It depends which measure. Most people would say we have moved right economically by selling off state owned assets, but that is actually economic liberalism. On social measures, we have moved left.

No more factions than LABOR has.

The Libs need to dice anyone left of centre.

Labor has almost nobody left of centre, the Libs have nobody close to centre.

Australian politics have moved steadily to the right over decades. Today Menzies of the 50's would likely be left of most of Labor.

If you think Albos & his socialist policies are right of centre then you're deluded.

If he was anymore left he'd be gone.

Correct.

That's because Menzies was operating in the  then dominant Keynesian 'welfare state' deficit-spending era, which was overthrown when economists oparating on behalf  of greedy capitalists  took the opportunity to overthrow,  when the Arab oil embargo and rise of Asia on cheap wages caused stagflation in the West.

Hence the Thatcher-Friedman "other peoples money" delusion which is ruining democracy around the world today.

Note: Menzies maintained sufficient public AND private housing, at a time (post war) when immigration was high.

Wrong.

Menzies was operating in the then dominant Keynesian 'welfare state' deficit-spending era, which was overthrown when economists operating on behalf of greedy capitalists  took the opportunity to overthrow when the Arab oil embargo and rise of Asia (1970s on) on back of cheap wages, caused stagflation in the West.

Hence the Thatcher-Friedman "other peoples money" delusion which is ruining democracy around the world today.

Note: Menzies maintained sufficient public AND private housing, at a time of high post war immigration, somethng Labor can't do because of the current Neoclassical Neo-liberal Friedman-ite dominant delusion.

eg housing everyone via a mix of public and private housing, at a time of high immigration? ?

Menzies achived it, neither Lab nor Lib can achieve it.

High migration numbers under Menzies? What were the migration numbers per year then?

Nowhere near what is coming in under Albo - & too many of the wrong kinds.
