Credible intel about a threat, probably from Mexican drug cartels, would be my guess. It's definitely something big -- even under this bumbling administration, you don't stop air traffic to and from the nation's 23rd largest city for nothing. I saw that even medical evacuations aren't allowed. No reason is being given.

And now they've reopened the airport. No explanations given.

They’re saying it was drone activity by drug cartels. Probably trying to build public fear/support for a land invasion of Mexico because of drugs.
