Yes, while:

(google)

Recent polling indicates that around 77% of Australians support stronger climate action, and 60-91% acknowledge climate change, with many favoring a shift away from fossil fuels.

So the 'schizophrenic' Coal-ition is losing the  1/3 of voters  who are climate deniers, to Pauline's ON.

But as for Susan's leadership: the current hysteria re the Coal-ition's "18% support" in the lastest Oz poll is premature - the Libs and Nats have only just 'kissed and made up', ie, after that Oz poll was measured.

Three years of the Coal-ition would be worse.

Interestingly, Pauline (if she was elected PM) could take a leaf out of Sanae Takaichi's book, and cut taxes without cutting spending, while ignoring government debt.

So long as Oz can flog high-priced  iron ore to China, an Oz PM might be able to avoid Liz Truss's fate.

I hope you're right.

With an opposition like that, Labor would easily win the next four or five elections.

The Liberals never learn, so they are destined for oblivion.

You know how i read that? Since Fraser allowed innigration to non-white people.

Couldn't agree more Frank.

Johnny Howard was OK  and Tony Abbott was a good bloke.
But it was Abbott who pursued Pauline and jailed her over some paperwork mistake.

Disgusting stuff.

I can't for the life of me understand why Howard,  a proud patriot agreed to take the Sudanese.
Why

Who is pulling their strings.

Japan and south Korea have taken a grand total of zero migrants.

Why the desire to have urban sprawl, overwhelmed schools and hospitals, crowded beaches, ghettos, civil unrest, machete crime and welfare fraud.

Why do they do it?
Australians don't support it.

They want a nice drive to the beach and they want their kids to afford a home.

It's bizarre and not understandable to " real " Australians

Huh?

If you said to the patriotic south Koreans or the proud Japanese,

" here are 50,000 Sudanese from war torn Sudan who have grown up seeing machete crime as the norm. Please house them in suburban Seoul or Tokyo "

The fine citizens ( who no one accuse of racism ) would look at you like you were a stark raving mad lunatic.

So why is it desirable in Australia?

Have our hospitals run out of patients?
Are our roads empty and we need congestion.
Are the police bored  and desperately need some knife crime?

Is mothra a stark raving mad lunatic  Embarrassed Embarrassed

It's a fallacy to say she has been undermined by "the boys" from day one....

she would not have been made leader if that was true.

Any Libs that voted for Albos Hate Speech & Gun Law Reform Bill are wet Labor Lites.

Taylor voted with the ALP for the poorly constructed & rushed Hate Speech Bill. He's no better than any others. They've lost their way - lost their conservative roots.

If the Libs roll Susssan for Angus Taylor then they had better be prepared for a credibility attack.  Rorts by Susssan pail into insignificance when Taylor’s alleged conduct surfaces.  Simply type Angus Taylor Rorts into the browser of your choice and follow the money trail.    They would be better off keeping Sloppy Sue until Tony Abbott gets parachuted in.

Not true, both Japan and South Korea have taken large numbers of migrants:

Quote:
AI Overview
While Japan and South Korea are known for highly restrictive immigration and refugee policies, they have not taken a total of zero migrants. As of 2023, Japan had over 3.4 million foreign residents, and South Korea had approximately 2.5 million, with both nations actively increasing foreign labor, though they maintain very low refugee acceptance rates
.
Key details regarding immigration in these countries:

    # Japan's Foreign Population: Despite having a history of low immigration, the foreign population in Japan increased sevenfold since the mid-1980s, driven by severe labor shortages.
    # South Korea's Foreign Population: The foreign population in South Korea grew over 50-fold since 1990, to over 2.5 million by 2023, representing just under 5% of its total population.

What's the unemployment rate, Horseboy?

The unemployment rate for Sudanese migrants in Australia sits at rates between 28.6% to 31.8% compared to the general population's rate of roughly 4-6%. 7 to 8 times higher.

That what you were looking for Fright Bat Moth Balls?

If the Libs roll Susssan for Angus Taylor then they had better be prepared for a credibility attack.  Rorts by Susssan pail into insignificance when Taylor’s alleged conduct surfaces.  Simply type Angus Taylor Rorts into the browser of your choice and follow the money trail.    They would be better off keeping Sloppy Sue until Tony Abbott gets parachuted in.

If you think the Libs have no cred & no chance with Ley or Taylor......

why would you think the resurfacing of yesterdays man Tony Abbott would help them one iota?

it was more a tongue in cheek comment about the total lack of any resemblance to a decent opposition and a person to lead it.  I get tired of Labor continually recycling the same, worn pollies - rotating them through portfolio after portfolio with very few new faces or ideas surfacing.  Without an effective and well led opposition it will be more of the same.   I see no one in opposing that could competently lead so, why not bring back the attack dog?

Even Sky News identifies what's happening to the Libs:

(Sky News)

‘Powerful forces being unleashed’: Crisis of ‘uncertainty’ driving One Nation vote

Redbridge Group Director Simon Welsh claims economic uncertainty is driving the One Nation vote.

“We have seen on the right what this kind of uncertainty and anxiety can produce, and it’s absolutely driving this One Nation vote,” Mr Welsh told Sky News Australia.

“It’s all the same crisis… It’s economic, it’s social, it’s global.

“These are pretty powerful forces that are being unleashed.”

........

Confirming: "It's the economy. stupid".......hence the oft ignored question:

"Where's the money coming from".

Politicians haven't got a clue, hence their silly political games while they are forced to depend on "taxpayer money".

“ Angus Taylor, a senior Australian Liberal politician, has faced various allegations of conflict of interest and misconduct, though no charges of criminal corruption have been proven. Key controversies include his involvement with companies that received large government payments (Watergate/EAA), illegal land clearing on a family property (Jam Land), and the use of forged documents.
Key controversies and allegations surrounding Angus Taylor include:
Watergate/Eastern Australia Agriculture (EAA): Taylor co-founded and was a director of EAA, which was paid $79 million by the government in 2017 for water rights in a tender-free, high-value transaction. Critics, including the Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party, questioned the high price for water, the lack of tender, and the transaction's connection to a Cayman Islands-based parent company, raising concerns about a conflict of interest.
Jam Land Illegal Land Clearing: A company co-owned by Taylor (Jam Land) was found to have illegally sprayed herbicide on a critically endangered grassland in 2016. The Federal Court upheld a finding of illegal clearing, and critics accused Taylor of failing to properly disclose his interest in the company.
Forged Documents Scandal: In 2019, Taylor was accused of using forged documents to attack the Sydney Lord Mayor, Clover Moore, over travel expenses. Police found no evidence for the documents, although the AFP did not proceed with an investigation, leading to criticisms from the Australian Greens.
Grants to Connected Firms: The Guardian reported that the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) asked questions about a $107,000 grant awarded to a company linked to Taylor's family, raising further questions about potential conflicts.
Taylor has consistently denied any wrongdoing, stating he followed all disclosure rules and that the accusations were politically motivated. ”

And I notice posters here prefer to engage in silly political argument, rather than understand what's really causing  the current political chaos around the world.
