Frank needs the distraction. He's dragging transgender people into a thread about Trump posting a racist video because he cannot defend what Trump actually did.

That manoeuvre isn't accidental. It's a textbook deflection. When the substance is indefensible, you change the subject. When you cannot rebut the charge, you reach for a culture-war reflex and hope the outrage machine does the rest.

There is no clearer admission that he knows the video was racist than his refusal to engage with it. Instead, he pivots to attacking a marginalised group, because that terrain feels safer to him than defending the indefensible.

Consider it the Frank-branded white flag of surrender, waved furiously while insisting he's still winning.

It's almost as if he's trying to create a safe space for himself...
