This isn't about mass arrests, it's about the principle, a journalist targeted because of who he is, identity weaponised, constitutional rights ignored, precedent being set. One, nine, or a hundred arrests doesn't change the structural danger.
This isn't hysteria, it's observation. MAGA's reflexive hatred is doing the groundwork, the First, Second, Fourth, Fifth, and Fourteenth Amendments are being challenged, and Trump is openly eyeing the 22nd.
Calling it "hysterical" doesn't make it less true, it just highlights how willing some are to ignore reality when it doesn't suit the narrative.
