Is there any practical difference between freedom of speech for the individual and freedom of press that is relevant to Don Lemon's case? As far as I can tell there is none. Freedom of the press does not mean that the press can participate in a crime while acquiring or disseminating information, any more than an individual can participate in a crime while speaking their mind. The only meaningful right given to the press but not to individuals that I can find is limited protection from being forced to reveal their sources, which is not relevant here.

Your rights do not change just because you wear a badge that says journalist.

That's the point. "The press" is included in the first amendment as an example of a profession the US government is not allowed to restrict.

In reality, "the press" has considerable rights, powers and entitlements, but I'm curious.

What is your view on the government restricting religious rights?

You didn't say.

I am all for religious rights.

Are you?

Yes.

I see. So what is your view on governments restricting the right of people to practice a religion, say, of peace?

What do you think of laws pertaining to people's expression of faith in a God called Allah?

And how do you feel about laws restricting the coming and going of people who, for example, say Allah Uakbar?

Don't want to say?

No.

Nine people have been arrested so far. They probably haven't identified the others yet. But if you read certain media articles you come away with the impression that only the journalists were arrested.

Do you think people should be allowed to barge into a church on Sunday morning to interrupt the service as a way of protesting?

How exactly did you decide that only 3 people were arrested, and that they were the only 3 not protesting? Are you following the logic that if you film yourself and your mates committing a crime, you are reporting on it, not committing it, and should be given special treatment because you are a journalist? Like when teenagers plan and film an assault so they can upload it to social media?

' Over nearly twelve years, Trump tweeted around 57,000 times, including about 8,000 times during the 2016 election campaign and over 25,000 times during his first presidency.'

Trump Media (White House Inc) has journalism protection and is pardoned.

Most people are aware that a few others were also arrested.

This action was primarily meant to make Bondi more popular with Trump. His critisism of her is that she is not prosecuting enough of his enemies.

This is a huge percentage of non protesters arrested. What I said above does not infer that no protesters were arrested.

"Tinted lemon" most commonly refers to the Lemon Pinky.

What percentage of "non-protestors"?

And how are you deciding who is and is not a protestor? Are you following the logic that if you film yourself and your mates committing a crime, you are reporting on it, not committing it, and should be given special treatment because you are a journalist? Do you think people should be allowed to barge into a mosque on Friday afternoon to interrupt the service as a way of protesting?

Or do you think mosques should be banned altogether?

Amazing that so many of our rightie thugs approve of ICE and their illegal actions right up to murder. They think it's just great. Some of Most of these clowns would support anything from the right.

I wouldn't call it 'amazing'.

It's quite predictable.

They "think" that violence is the answer to everything - they actually enjoy it.

They vehemently defended everything from rape, kidnapping, and child exploitation to murder ... when conservatives do it.

They're particularly happy when the crimes are perpetrated against coloured people.

They're sociopathic, white supremacists and they don't even try to hide it.
