A free press is when a schoolkid makes a photocopy or hardcopy of a file, using a printer.  Claiming that he is a reporter for the  school newsletter won't work when cheating with AI in exams.

As Lemon asked questions of the ICE clergyman, he could have been shot with 10 bullets. This was religious ICE rights. Trump is divinely appointed.

Is there any practical difference between freedom of speech for the individual and freedom of press that is relevant to Don Lemon's case? As far as I can tell there is none. Freedom of the press does not mean that the press can participate in a crime while acquiring or disseminating information, any more than an individual can participate in a crime while speaking their mind. The only meaningful right given to the press but not to individuals that I can find is limited protection from being forced to reveal their sources, which is not relevant here.

Your rights do not change just because you wear a badge that says journalist.

That's the point. "The press" is included in the first amendment as an example of a profession the US government is not allowed to restrict.

In reality, "the press" has considerable rights, powers and entitlements, but I'm curious.

What is your view on the government restricting religious rights?

You didn't say.

I am all for religious rights.

Are you?

Yes.

The religious right is as far from Christianity as it is possible to get. The term religious right is an oxymoron. In reality there is no such thing as a religious right.

What does that have to do with Lemon?

He hasn't committed a crime.

Let him do the same thing at a Mosque and see what happens. He is no more a journalist than greggy here. His credentials expired when he was fired from CNN.

However, there is some link between Zion and ICE.

It can argued that the Kingdom of Judah was by definition, right wing.

Indeed.

In their tiny minds, being black and asking questions is a crime.

The White House is occupied by white supremacists.

'Disrupting church services can lead to federal charges under the FACE Act, which is punishable by up to a year in prison for a first offense'. State laws also have penalties for that up to 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.

'Prosecutors allege that Lemon was part of a group that interrupted the service just as the pastor was about to begin the sermon'
*** error****
You can't interrupt an event before it begins.
Once it began, of course, the ICE man was entitled to empty a magazine of ammo into the pilgrim.

Interrupt the service, not interrupt the sermon, so the event was in progress and could be interrupted.

There were hundreds of protestors but they wanted to arrest 3 of the only people not protesting?

It is about authoritarian rule and supression of his opponents, nothing else.
