So he deserved to die then? And that somehow absolves the ICE agents who killed a subdued man they had already disarmed, by shooting him in the back?

It's the same tired victim-blaming routine we see every time, a rhetorical sleight of hand designed to launder state violence into something palatable for the usual suspects. Blame the victim loudly enough and you never have to reckon with the fact that the state just committed a killing under Trump.

People have rights. Yes, even when Trump is president, no matter how much some people like to pretend the Constitution comes with a partisan off-switch.

Summary execution is not acceptable, legally or morally.

Unless it's Forrest, of course. If he's gunned down in the street by police after being subdued, we can just trawl through his racist and hateful posts and declare it justified because he "had it coming", right?

That's how it works now, yeah?

'On Aug 11, 2025, ICE posted an image on its socials of Uncle Sam at a crossroads. It included the tag line "Which way, American man?"
The post echoed a meme popular among right-wing influencers, who use the phrase "Which way, Western man?" to illustrate a choice between an image meant to represent liberal values and an image representing their own preferred option.

But the phrase itself is taken from the title of a 700-page antisemitic nonfiction book written by William Gayley Simpson and published by a neo-Nazi press in the late 1970s.
The book has long been a favourite among white supremacists.'
