So Australia cops a horrific massacre, everyone’s rattled, emotions are raw, and suddenly the Zionist cheer squad goes, “Ah-ha. This is it. This is our moment. Royal commission. Crack down. Stamp out anti-Semitism. Lock it down.”
And the government goes, “Yeah alright, we’ll do something.”
And now everyone’s shocked.
Because you can’t just write a law that says, “This one religion gets special protection, and everyone else can get farked.” That’s not how a liberal democracy works. That’s not how legislation works. That’s not even how basic logic works.
You pull one thread, the whole jumper comes with it.
So now the laws roll out and surprise, surprise, they don’t just cover anti-Semitism. They cover Islamophobia. And racism. And religious vilification. And quite possibly LGBTQ people, gay people, trans people, the whole damn alphabet soup.
And suddenly all these right-wing podcasters, who were screaming from the rooftops two weeks ago, are now absolutely shitting themselves.
“Oh no, wait, not like that.”
“Hang on, I didn’t mean MY free speech.”
“This is authoritarian.”
“This is woke tyranny.”
Yeah mate. Welcome to consequences.
This is the biggest case of be careful what you wish for I’ve seen in years. You don’t get to weaponise the state against speech you don’t like and then act shocked when the same state turns around and goes, “Cool, we’ll apply that evenly.”
That’s the bit they didn’t think through. Or maybe they did, and just assumed it’d only ever be used against people they already hate.
And now let’s talk about the absolute chef’s kiss of irony sitting right in the Senate.
Pauline Hanson. Twice. Not once, twice, has marched into the Australian Senate wearing a full burka as a political stunt. A costume. A mockery. A deliberate attempt to target Muslims and stir fear and hatred.
So guess what, Pauline.
Under these shiny new laws you helped scream into existence, that little stunt of yours is now skating on some very thin ice. That angle you’ve been dining out on for years and cashing in on (quite successfully) targeting Islam and Muslims, could now land right back in your own lap.
That’s another self-own. Straight across your own face. Because you’re a smacking moron who never thinks two steps ahead.
And here’s the real punchline.
None of this actually fixes the problem they claim to care about.
People aren’t becoming radicalised because Dave down the road said something offensive at a barbecue. They’re getting radicalised in their smacking basements at 2am, doom-scrolling war footage, propaganda, grievance porn, overseas conflicts, and algorithm-fed rage. You don’t legislate that away with a press release.
You especially don’t legislate that away while pretending global events don’t matter. You can’t talk about rising anti-Semitism without talking about Gaza. You can’t talk about Islamophobia without talking about endless wars in the Middle East. You can’t pretend Israel annexing Palestine exists in some magical vacuum where nobody reacts emotionally.
Reality leaks. Every time.
How many Islamophobes on this forum ?? Come on. Own up !!
Why aren't Russian businesses, churches, schools vandalised if 'global events' matter? Why weren't Palsstinian schools and businesses targeted after 7 October?
Why is it OK to target Jews in Australia for what Is happening overseas? Was it OK when Serbs and Croarots were at teacher's throats here because of what was happening in Yugoslavia? Why weren't Iraqis targeted when Iraa occupied Kuwait?
And why aren't all, the self-destruction righteous intifada liberators targeting Iranian businesses and schools?
