Former CIA agent John Kiriakou claims that two factions have emerged within the Trump administration.

Vice President J.D. Vance and Director of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard oppose the strike.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff—the body that advises the US president and the secretary of defense on military matters—support the strike.

How can the US go to war when they can't even get their dunnies right?

Long deployment, toilet woes strain crew on US carrier near Iran
Record-long deployment, sewage failures strain $13bn supercarrier and crew

As tensions with Iran escalate, the US Navy has surged two aircraft carriers into the region. One of them, the service’s newest and most expensive supercarrier, is grappling with persistent plumbing failures and the human toll of an unusually long deployment, according to reporting by Gulf News, which cites US media outlets.

Adding to the strain is the ship’s troubled vacuum-based sewage system. Designed to conserve water and adapted from the cruise-ship industry, the system was never fully tested for the demands of a warship. According to internal Navy documents and sailor accounts obtained by NPR, the system, which serves roughly 650 toilets for a crew of about 4,600, has suffered frequent clogs caused by foreign objects such as T-shirts, rope and loose parts, as well as sludge buildup.

In one four-day period in March 2025, engineers logged 205 maintenance calls. Sailors reported working up to 19-hour days to fix leaks and restore suction, with problems in a single head capable of disabling an entire section of the ship. Since 2023, the Navy has carried out at least 10 acid flushes, each costing about $400,000, though the procedure cannot be performed while the carrier is underway.

While the carrier remains fully mission-capable, the combination of sanitation issues, extended family separation and repeated deployment extensions underscores the growing strain on the US Navy’s carrier fleet as it manages multiple global flashpoints.

Sounds like the sailors are deliberately sabotaging the toilet system
to get out of fighting Iran.

I mean - how the hell does a T-shirt get flushed down the dunny?

I put it down to low morale - 9 months at sea with no break.
Some sailors have gone mad.

I speculate either he/ she didn’t have any toilet paper and use there uniform ( as you do) or they simply seriously hated that T shirt for personal reasons.

I do not believe that anyone would be sabotaging their own ship in an effort to escape hostile environments.

From personal conversations with us sailors they thrive on the  thought one day too be in a hostile situation and allowed show what the time spent being near work to death has trained them for.

It’s quite common for ships to have an issue with blocked toilets.

It’s usually caused by condoms .

Pretty much any navy but especially the us navy is seriously hard work in peacetime and worse in war time.

It’s not sabotaging by the sailors, stupidity quite likely and simply a logical choice if the head you are in has no toilet paper.

In a carrier force poo does happen 😆

And if I was a member of any Iran arm force I would be suffering severe  loss  of control bowel syndrome right about now and running as far and fast away as possible from my  position and unit.

The problems with shitters go back to 2020 nothing new there.

You have half wits like Bwhine joining the military it doesn't attract the brightest sparks.

They are still mission capable.

Leftists and the Ayatollahs have a lot in common when it comes to criticism of Islam, they don't tolerate it.
