BREAKING: Kevin Rudd to resign as ambassador

BREAKING NEWS:

Kevin Rudd will be stepping down as Australian ambassador to the United States.

Kevin Rudd to step down as Australia’s US Ambassador

Kevin Rudd will end his term as Australian Ambassador to Washington at the end of March and take up a new role, Anthony Albanese has announced.

DAILY TELEGRAPH

Kevin Rudd will end his term as Australian Ambassador to Washington at the end of March and take up a new role as global president of the Asia Society.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced the move but did not say who Australia’s next ambassador would be and that it would be announced in “due course”.

He's gone! Just two runs on the board and OUT ... Rudd has fallen to a sidewinding ball from Ira Taited-Publick .... he's on his way back to the pavilion and a well-earned rest for the crowd here today..... his batting today has been nothing short of appalling, and only the finest of wickets even kept him in the game.... at the end of his innings he actuly trumped his own wicket ... caught behind while attempting a sweeping criticism of an incoming fast and hard ball president....

Next batsman up is Aleck Shawn - say it quickly - and this should be an interesting innings.... Rudd benefited from far too many No Balls and still failed at the bat despite some outstanding support from Cronies at the other end..... altogether a very sad day for Australian cricket... but no tears for Rudd's dismissal.... the crowd is cheering, but not for Rudd... AT him .... and it's jeering ...

Was it not the Howard, Abbott and Trudbull governments that blocked super gaurantee increases that made it necessary?

Tens of millions of Australians could have self retired taking pressure off of the pension for a hundred years.
