Why don't they do it anyway, why even have American bases, as he says they dont need them and they can do it themselves. Europe is just a sidekick for America, if you want ot puff out your chest and act tough then cut the strings first.

Austria's NATO enlargement committee chairman, Gunther Fehlinger, has issued a stern warning to the U.S. if it were to pursue Greenland. In a video posted to social media, Fehlinger claimed that if the U.S. annexed Greenland, all the other U.S. bases in Europe would be confiscated, and the U.S. would "have to leave."

I dont want anything, If you dont need America and you can do it yourself why is America there, why have America in your lands when you don't need them.

America and or Europe can be in NATO or not I don't have feelings either way.

NATO is about the US defending Europe from the Soviet Union.

It was NEVER about Europe defending the US.

And there is no Soviet Union any more. The purpose of NATO dissolved in 1991.

The EU another related and totally outdated institution, a 1970s answer to a 1940s problem.

Nor is the Europe in the 1940-1970s sense any more. Europe has been committing demographic and cultural suicide for 50 years, under the US defence umbrella.

NATO will do nothing except clutch their pearls -
they can't function without the Yanks.

I know a person who worked at a US NATO air base in Germany.
They said the air power was awesome and could be called at a moments notice.
Europe has nothing that can compare to it.

The US has a $trillion dollar defence budget -
their air force now has built up over the last 50 years and more.
Europe can't ever hope to match the Yanks.
They need the Yanks - now more than ever before
and Trump knows it,
so he know he can get away with taking Greenland.

I don't see the US maintaing the 5 Eyes cooperation with a Muslim Defence Minister in London or Canberra ir Ottawa.
Or NATO cooperation on intelligence and technology with a Muslim- led Europen government.
