We've already seen how badly the FBI handled Kirk's death.

Not only that, but even before the DHS Secretary knew her name, senior government figures were publicly branding her a domestic terrorist, which tells you the outcome had been decided well in advance, and their investigation, if they even do one, was always going to be nothing more than a formality.

Law and order no longer exist in the United States in any meaningful sense. From the very top, those in power are no longer playing by the rules, so it's hardly surprising that public faith in those rules has collapsed.

When the system is structured so that the people can never win through lawful channels, they will inevitably look elsewhere for agency.

That's WHY she was shot. Just driving off without respect to US uniforms of official Officers gets 3 bullets. It's simple military discipline.

Well I've managed to not get shot in the face for an entire week despite having about 3 encounters with NSW Police.

I'm really grateful for her sacrifice in teaching us all the valuable lesson that not driving your car towards a LEO prevents bullets to the face.

Off to the beach now, will report back if/when I return without being shot in the face for driving my car towards at a LEO.

Hmmm, that's a tough one. Perhaps it depends on whether you really believe they are police, or just law enforcement officers who happen to have the same powers as police and identify themselves as police.
