Bases are to be reopened, but I don't know that if that was allowed under the original agreement (but I suspect it was). The Golden Dome missiles are allowed in Greenland. Non-NATO countries are not allowed in now, which is good news for NATO. Wouldn't that be a plus for NATO and a negative for NATO-hating Trump? Greenland is allowed possible independence and the agreement remains in effect if it stays in NATO (another win for NATO).

Trump's deal falls short of what he wanted because his leverage on the world stage has weakened significantly since its peak in January, and allies are acting with far more caution toward the US, as they should.
