Yes MattE but there are reports
of between 2,000 and 12,000 protestors murdered on the streets.
True.
But there would be a lot more without the intervention of Donald Trump. When he says there is a RED LINE, regimes know there will be consequences.
The Iranian regime is on its last legs, but without a viable and organised alternative (like in Syria), there is no use hitting it and causing its collapse, because something worse may happen.
I think this is where the focus of the he United States should be, the fostering of an organised opposition and also providing it with weapons.
Syria isn't an example you should use the leader is Al Qaeda in a suit.
Many minorities like Druze Alawites and Kurds are being persecuted.
The Hezbollah members who were in Syria have fled to Iraq and reports of them now in Iran killing Iranians.
If they get the Constitutional Monarchy back in Iran which the vast majority of Iranians want there is nothing to fear.
The Sunni neighbors aren't going to support the Shia Ayatollahs they consider them deviant heretics.
A big concern will be Sunni Jihadists who think they can replace the Ayatollahs.
USA has it's largest military base in Qatar i suggested to my Iranian friends perhaps the US could move this base to Iran they all support this 100%.
It would be a kick in the nuts for Qatar who support muslim brotherhood terrorists who don't support them they prefer caliphate if USA packs up and moves to Iran.
If Islamic regime falls and is replaced by the King the end result will be much better than you can imagine.
The irony in that is that Qatar funds/facilitates state sponsored terrorist groups & hides their leaders.
Hamas, the Taliban and Al-Qaeda.
