It's a smart move by Trump.
It immediately establishes who is the legitimate dude in the interaction.
By making the other " react" to trumps humor he puts them in HIS frame.
And frame control is crucial to coming out of any interaction as a winner .

We see this over and over.
Trump teases, the little punk ass bitch he is teasing gets all bent out of shape, plays the victim, loses emotional control.
Trump walks away looking like the adult.

There is a way to combat Trump.

Mandani gets it.

Be entertaining.
Go to nursing homes and do a little dance.
Make stuff up.
Go to Mecca's and serve fries.
Take so much action. Be so self amused. Give off the aura that you don't give a crap and are just having fun.

Here's a fun fact.
Many voters who voted for Trump and still support him. Voted for mundani.

Politicians should do stand up comedy and practice demolishing hecklers.
This is their most important skill set
