Leftism here has brought in human rights for prisoners in our goals over that of the rights of the public people.
Our Gaols are meant to void all stimulus for punishment but prisoners enjoy cushy conditions, heaps of luxury items smuggled in from cigarettes, marijuana, mobile phones and more. They even enjoy anal pop sex with each other, preying on fresh meat raping young new inmates. Basically going to gaol means more abuse by the freedom of the prisoners being the hard time, than from the Guards and the Prison itself. Just like in America. There in no discipline or punishment for prisoners in Gaols anymore. They come out worse than when they went in and have a Uni degree to show for it.
The Prison and Gail's primary objective is to 'void all stimulus of life' for the prisoner and slowly dissolve all evil within them BEFORE any concept of other rehabilitation methods can then take place.
Our Gaols are a joke.
Our country has become a joke under this Leftism that has come from America.
*** JAILS ***
Beat it Yank. Prisons & Gaols.
‘’ Historical Usage
Gaol's Reign: "Gaol" was the accepted British spelling for centuries, especially in legal and official contexts, influencing Australian English heavily.
Jail's Rise: Noah Webster in the US favored "jail" for clarity (avoiding confusion with "goal"), a choice that gained traction globally.
Shift in Britain/Australia: By the 20th century, especially post-1930s, "jail" became standard in Britain and Australia, with "gaol" becoming archaic but surviving in historic names.’’
‘’ Etymological Roots
Two French Paths: Both "gaol" and "jail" derive from Latin caveola (little cage) via Old French.
Norman French: The form gaiole or gaole came with the Normans (11th Century).
Parisian French: The form jaiole or jaile arrived later (around 14th Century). ’’

So ‘’jail’’ is the correct Australian term.
It is worth remembering that many so called Americanisms in spelling are actually English spelling, e.g. ‘labor’ versus ‘labour’, the latter is French influence, thankfully we no longer spell ‘doctor’, ‘doctour’.
