Will the next terrorist attack occurs NYE?
Dec 22nd, 2025 at 8:16pm

Asking for a friend to scared to attend the Sydney event even after paying a crazy price to secure a ticket.

Do you feel safe celebrating anything in Australia now  unless wearing a bulletproof vest?

Given the “per capital “ rescission Australia economy is currently in I think many people are already doing that.

The cost of living crisis is having a negative impact on the Christmas holiday getaway from my own experience.

Save money on crazy Christmas accommodations prices , stay home  or go  OS if you can and avoid being shot at the beach in Australia.

Yes, I agree it’s a good plan!

Judging by the number of planes I see and hear every day going in and out of Perth Airport (I live fairly close) I find that hard to believe.

I know a lot of it is FIFO workers but I'm pretty sure they're not using a lot of the bigger planes I see going in and out all the time. And, Perth Airport is projected to increase its annual passenger numbers from approximately 17.5 million today to over 30 million by 2046.

So, when people keep complaining about the "cost of living" these days I strongly suspect a lot of them are actually worried that the increased "cost of living" might be affecting their plans to take their (mostly frivolous) overseas and interstate holidays.

Cry me a river.

And, the "Bali Bogan" brigade get zero sympathy from me. Less than zero, if that were possible.

Oh, and I have plans to stay home and do absolutely nothing on New Years Eve this year. Same as last year and the year before and the year before...

Getting out of the house would be good for you.

It would give the technicians at JB HI FI a chance to catch up on cleaning all your crusty keyboards.

Islam and its devotees corrode and ruin everything they touch, from Christmas markets, to NYE celebrations, concerts and public gatherings, social cohesion and solidarity, politicss, discourse, the arts, They fit in with nothing, improve nothing.

I wouldn't recommend trying to go anywhere on new years eve. Too many people. But if he has already paid for the ticket he might as well.

Where is Albo the Great Statesman, Abraham Lincoln of Australia freeing the Blacks.... saying:-

"We WILL not yield to terrorism.  We will not be swayed from celebrating our national holidays as usual just to appease some potential troublemakers who think they have terrorised us into silence!  We WILL celebrate OUR way in OUR country - and anyone who seeks to disrupt those celebrations of peace, love, national togetherness and harmony will be dealt with in the harshest possible manner!"

Note the use of the word 'seeks' - not 'attempts' ... anyone caught plotting will get far worse than the Liverpool Seven in terms of their resisting arrest...... anyone who attempts will be shot dead.....

https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/australia/canterbury-bankstown-council-shuts-down...

Canterbury-Bankstown Council shuts down prayer hall linked to notorious preacher Wissam Haddad

A Sydney council has moved to shut down what it says is an illegal prayer hall linked to notorious Islamic preacher Wissam Haddad.

The City of Canterbury Bankstown Council issued a "cease use" directive at the Bankstown Al Madina Dawah Centre in the city's south-west on Monday.

The council said a review of council records dating back to the 1970s found the site on Kitchener Parade had never been approved to run as a prayer hall, and had only recently received approval to operate as a medical centre.

"Our recent surveillance indicates there is a strong suspicion the premises is being used contrary to its intended use," a council spokesperson said in a statement.

"We have issued the cease use notices which will be effective immediately. There are no compromises, and we will be taking further action if they don't comply."

Mr Haddad was previously issued with a directive to shut down premises unauthorised to conduct prayer meetings at other sites, according to council.

Mr Haddad, who is also known as Abu Ousayd, is a notorious Islamic preacher recently found by the Federal Court to have breached the Racial Discrimination Act in a series of antisemitic lectures.

Last week counterterrorism officials told the ABC one of the alleged Bondi gunmen, Naveed Akram, 24, was a follower of his preachings.

Through a lawyer earlier this week, Mr Haddad says he "vehemently denies any knowledge of or involvement in the shootings that took place at Bondi Beach" on December 14.

Organisation questions 'timing and motivation

The Al Madina Group, the company that manages the site, said in a statement on Tuesday Mr Haddad did not have any involvement in its operation and it has "acted in good faith" since taking over the premises.

"And was under the reasonable impression that no development Application (DA) was required, given that the former organisation AMDC [Al Madina Dawah Centre], had operated at the same location for nearly four years without issue or enforcement action."

The company said it questioned the "bases, timing and motivation behind Bankstown Council's sudden order to cease operations"."

You’re not even safe then, because bulletproof vests are not bulletproof.
Secondly possessing a ‘’bulletproof vest’’ in NSW is a criminal offence, one may have safety gear for all sections of the human body except the torso, for some obscure reason protecting the upper body from dangerous missiles is not allowed.
