It is an idiotic concept, that's why it is hard to define.  As are 'protected characteristics" which 'hate speech' is supposedly directed at.

There is no such thing as Islamophobia, another idiotic concept.

Now we even have non-crime hate incidents (NCHIs).

To the subject - amazing for an 18th/19th Century man:-

Consider this in the context of many things these days...... we began to lose our liberty in the heady times of 'female empowerment' - meaning free gifting of everything via affirmative action first then feminising 'education' and allowing blatant abuse of boys to men to grow and grow - when Inequality and Unequal Treatment became the norm and abuse became policy and more and more entrenched... and fundamentally immoral governments fully realised that no individual or small group could oppose them - and even that the electorate was powerless to do so.

I disagree with Adams to some extent - LIBERTY can be restored - it was done in Nazi Germany and a few other places - by war.... but the conundrum is that Civilised Tribes do not want to go there... for countless reasons.

We of Australia - the only nation we can speak for - must find our own way of Revolution - through the ballot box, which will require an amazing number of primary votes to overturn the corrupted 'preference' system of 'voting', in which your vote could end up with the last person you wanted it to.
