The State of Palestine did not exist as an independent nation in 1947

True, the League of Nations granted the British a mandate over Palestine after WW1.

But the Mandate specified a defined area, with majority Muslim population, as Palestine had been ruled by a succession of Muslim empires since the 7th century, up to the collapse of the Ottoman empire in 1917.

Yes, but they didn't inhabit a sovereign state called Israel for most of their history as a people - Israel (the state) has been subject to rule by a succession of world empires since the Assyrian empire swallowed the nothern tribes in the 8th century BC, before dissappearing as a state entirely under the Roman empire.

Solomon's quarrelsome successors, who soon split into two states (Nand S) - couldn't preserve Israel's independence from the powerful neigbouring states; and Israel only exists today because the UN decided to split Palestine (...holocaust guilt?.....the US didn't want Jewish immigrants during WW2...).

Meanwhile the Bronze age religion of the Hebrews is still celebrated in the Judeo Christian world because the OT was adopted as the prologue to the NT, given Christ was a Jew. ... a fact neither Jews nor Christians like to mention....

And they have kept Palistinians in the worlds largest outdoor prison for over 50 years while continually stealing more and more of their land in settlment year after year.
