Way cool. Last year I watched a lot of abandoned location clips of exploration. Most of them were themed on supernatural and ghost (hoaxing) publicity which can sometimes be entertaining. Mostly Russian and USA. USA mostly had negro bums residing in them and a lot of it vandalised and being full of scrappers for $$. The Russian sites were more pristine like that one.
In my younger days I would prowl sites all around Sydney. No place could keep me out. My favourites were the old Pyrmont Powerhouse Station (where Google was thinking about building there), the now gone Glenquarrie Quarry, turned landfill tip and inner city tall buildings under construction (got heaps of tools).
The best time to prowl is in the rain.
No-one can hear you, see you or want to go out and look for you.
Many a time in downpour, I passed just metres in front of Security and even cops in their cars or entry boxes.
Hell, me and a mate walked right past security sleeping at the Lodge in Kirribilli when Keating was PM. We lived 4 doors down. The cops always did a round at 3am on the dot. Three days later on the front page Daily Telegraph was a picture of the sleeping guard. Obviously they reviewed their camera footage.
